Chapter 19

Y/n's POV

"Oh, Meliodas shouldn't you tell them where we're going next?" I suggested.

"I won't listen to a word he says until he gets off Diane!" King yelled.

King may be more desperate then Meliodas, that's surprising.

Diane rolled her eyes and set him back down next to the tavern.

He let out a big sigh of relief after Diane put him down.

I still stayed propped up on her shoulder.

"We're going to this nearby forest to get some rest for a few days," Meliodas informed the two.

"Oh, well that sounds pleasant." Diane commented.

King stared up at Diane, it was almost creepy how much he loved her.

The cool breeze passed by me while I sat on her shoulder, every few moments Diane took another stride to keep up with Hawk's mom.

I could really go for some cookies right now, or cake, or cupcakes, really anything sweet I guess.

Hmmm, I guess I would have to make them myself since Meliodas can't cook, Elizabeth probably never learned to cook, Ban's probably drunk already, and King wouldn't help since he can't make anything for Diane.

"Diane, can you put me down please?"

"Sure thing Y/n!"

She placed me next to Meliodas and I sprinted to the tavern to make some yummy baked good.

I have been deprived of all yummy desserts for too long. I will now end that deprivation and bake until my hearts desire.

I arrived in the kitchen and I began searching for the largest cookie sheet we had available.

Once I found a suitable pan I began making the dough.

Two cups sugar, four cups flour, two sticks of butter, one tablespoon vanilla. I added the rest of the ingredients and started violently whisking it all together.

I want these cookies as soon as possible and I'm not sharing with anyone.

I finally finished the dough then made it into small balls and placed them on the cookie sheet.

I shoved them into the oven and leaned against the counter.

Baking is exhausting.

In the following minutes, the air started to fill with a delicious chocolaty scent that was to die for.

After some more time passed I took the cookies out of the over carefully so I wouldn't burn myself.

I couldn't bring myself to wait for them too cool so I took one off the hot pan and nibbled at it.

I fling my arms into air. "Ah! I must've been a baker before I lost my memory! This is meant to be!"

"Are you okay?" I heard a voice which I presumed to be Elizabeth yell.

"Oh yeah I'm fine! Just baking cookies."

"Ooh can I have-."

"Nope all for me!"

"..."

"....can you really eat a whole pan of cookies by yourself?"

"Give me two hours and some time alone, they'll be all gone."
