Chapter 8

Third-person POV

"W-what the" Hawk squealed.

"Is someone there!" Elizabeth shouted.

"Belladonna, Spanish fly, nightshade, and henbane were all ingredients I used to create the poison" the doctor admitted.

"My condolence that this boy will never wake up again".

"H-huh!? That medicine wasn't meant to treat his injuries!" Elizabeth shrieked.

"Even with our great power, we knew it would be impossible to face a member of the eight deadly sins and emerge unscathed" the mysterious voice hissed. "Besides the kingdom made it clear we could use any means necessary".

"Who are you? Show yourself right now!" Elizabeth demanded.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, I am a holy knight Golgius of the weird fangs".

"A holy knight" Elizabeth whispered to Hawk.

"What the heck when did he-" Hawk was interrupted by Golgius.

Golgius bowed to Elizabeth "Princess Elizabeth I have come to take you back to the kingdom of Liones."

"Hey not so fast! You're gonna have to go through the captain of the order of scraps disposal first!"

Golgius kicked Hawk, he went flying across the room and started bouncing off the wooden walls.

"Waaaaaaaaa!"

"Hawk no!" Elizabeth screamed.

"Now then" Golgius ripped the blanket off Meliodas "seems it's become rather pointless for you to keep this sword any longer so I shall take it with me".

Golgius started pulling the sword out of Meliodas's strong hands.

"Stop what are you doing to Sir Meliodas!"

"It's mine now he has no use for it".

As soon Golgius pulled the sword out of Meliodas' hand Meliodas suddenly sat up and got it back in his grasp.

"Impossible! No one could survive after that much poison!" Doctor Daina shouted.

"You're too stubborn to die I see but you will release the sword!" Golgius groaned as he started pulling the sword harder and harder by the second.

"Even if I die this sword is the one thing I'll never let go of. It's the only thing I can do the only way I can ever atone".

The room started filling with an eerie demonic energy that seemed to be coming from Meliodas.

"S-Sir Meliodas?"

Golgius laughed "spout all the nonsense you wish the princess and your weapon will still be mine."

Meliodas glared at Golgius and a demon-like mark appeared on his forehead as he stared.

Golgius jumped through the glass of the window and ran as fast as he could away from Meliodas.

Y/N's POV

Diane slowed down to give Meliodas a chance to catch up after he recovers from his injuries.

Diane fiddled with her hair "I hope the captain is doing okay I'm really worried about him".

"I bet he's awake and heading our way right now Diane" I smiled at her from her shoulder.

"But what if something happened to him. We're right next to a prison filled with holy knights it's not too far-fetched that one of them could have attacked him".
