Y/N's pov:

You woke up to Emily planting soft kisses all over your face. Your eyes fluttered open and your lips curled into a smile as she continued leaving a trail of kisses to your neck.

"Well good morning to you too" you giggled.

"How'd you sleep angel?" She asked in a soft tone as she pulled away from your neck and laid down facing you.

"I slept alright Em, did you sleep okay? I know your nightmares can get bad when you're under stress" you asked carefully.

"I'm okay y/n" she said.

You knew better than to take her word for it, she thinks she's so good at hiding her emotions but you always knew when something was up no matter how hard she tried to cover it up.

"we've been together for what? 2 years now? I know when you're not okay, please talk to me Em. I know you have a hard time showing yourself vulnerable and opening up but it's just me, I would never judge you or anything like that. You care so much about everyone around you that you forget to care for yourself a lot of the times and that's not healthy and you know it so please talk to me" you said in a gentle voice while cupping her cheek with one hand.

"If I say that I'm not fine then I'll start believing it and I can't do that" she whispered. You gave her an understanding look and wrapped your arms around her. "If you get nightmares please wake me up"
you said as you held her in your arms.

"Promise" she whispered burying her face in the crook of your neck.

You stayed like that for awhile while you held her close to you and played with her hair. After half an hour you decide that you needed to get up so you pulled away gently and noticed Emily had fallen asleep again. You smiled and pressed a kiss to her forehead before getting up and walking into the kitchen. You went over to the counter and picked up Emilys phone and noticed that you she multiple messages from JJ and since you didn't want to wake her you decided to just text her back yourself.

JJ
We just landed in Paris an hour ago and we're still searching for leads to find Maya, can you ask y/n where she saw her last and what she looked like?

Emily? Are you okay?

Did something happen?

Hey JJ, it's y/n. Emily's sleeping right now she had a rough night and I don't want to wake her.

I saw Maya near the grocery store a few blocks from our apartment and she was dressed in a black trench coat and she had darker hair than last time and she was on the phone with someone. The conversation sounded intense I could hear her from across the street, she sounded angry.

Thank you y/n that's really helpful. I hope Emily is doing okay now, I promised her that we will find Maya and I'm planning on keeping that promise.

You put the phone down and started to make some food for you and Emily. You decided on eggs, bacon, toast, juice and fresh fruit. Trying your best to be quiet to not wake your girlfriend you quietly took out a pan and started cooking the eggs and the bacon while you also toasted some bread and cut up some fresh fruit. When the food was done you put everything on a tray and finished by pouring two glasses of orange juice before carrying everything into the bedroom. You places the tray on the side table before crawling into the bed and getting on top of Emily to wake her up. She stirred in her sleep as you pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek and then her lips. Her eyes fluttered open trying to adjust to the light in the room.
