I snuck out of my room after heading to bed early to hear my uncle and Kai talking downstairs, "Kai, how long to plan to keep this up?"
"I don't know."
I sat down at the top of the stairs listening in, "She's not stupid Kai... She'll put together the pieces eventually-"
"I know, I know it's just-"
"She thinks your a superhero," My uncle laughed a little bit.
"Batman actually," Kai grinned to himself.
"Apollo thought the same thing about me... and then the truth hit him. He was okay after a little bit."
"I know but Apollo was raised around it, he had a vague idea of what was going on. But Aza, she's still just a baby to me."
"Kai, you need to tell her. She's already in more danger than the boys ever were. Not knowing to be on the lookout is only gonna make it so much worse."
"Yeah, thanks, Cyril."
"Anything for my favorite little brother."
"I'm your only brother."
I heard Kai climbing the stairs and I darted back to my room and pretended to be asleep, "Aza," He called from the door and the sat down on the edge of the bed, "Hey Z, I need to talk to you- Oh are you already asleep?"
"No, Why?" I whispered, "What're we talking about?"
"Nothing. I'll tell you in the morning, Night Aza," He leaned down kissing the top of my head.

"It's a good day to go boating," My grandpa remarked coming downstairs in a sailing outfit, "Everyone ready to go?"
"Wait hold on... Kai, where's Aza?"
"Who cares can we go?" Apollo said annoyed.
"Apollo!" Aunt Reyna smacked the back of his head.
"What? I only said what everyone was thinking."
Kai looked around, "I told her to be down here," He remarked, "Aza, come on, everyone's waiting," He told me.
"I don't wanna go," I finally admitted.
"What? Why?"
"Kai, I'm not like you guys."
"Aza, What... What're you talking about?"
"I don't fit into this family."
"You don't have to fit in. That's the beauty of being family," Kai sat down on the edge of my bed.
"I'm not like you guys."
"Alright, what made you think this all of a sudden? Did your cousins say something to you?"
My mind immediately went to what Apollo had said a few days ago, "No, that's the problem."
"I'm confused.
"Soter is really nice and Sorin doesn't talk much- Apollo doesn't talk much either, but Sutton is the best person ever, and Kai... I'm not. You guys are all perfect. You're all like designer pieces of jewelry and I'm the 10 dollar bracelet from Walmart trying to be Pandora."
Kai pulled me into his arms and tucked my head under his chin, "Sometimes that bracelet means more than the designer ones. It like proposing to someone you love with a ring pop, it doesn't matter the money or the beauty, it's the commitment."
"I know it's just..."
Kai pulled away keeping my face in his hands, "Aza, I want you to look me in the eyes..." He paused making sure I actually listened, "I love you kiddo. It doesn't matter if I've raised you for 18 years or not, you are my daughter, my whole world, and everything in between."
