LOVE LIKE NO OTHER

back to the present

Eliza pov:

The nostalgic feeling of the past events almost made me emotional but as I was stepping down the steps, I was trying to hide my tears and act stronger.

I reached downstairs and Miah ran towards me "Eliza, where were you, you have no idea what's happening here, it's 'Eric' are you okay?!did you know about it?!" She shrieked slowly.
" I already met him before, but it was coincidence...I- I mean I didn't plan to meet him, it just happened when I was saving a puppy and then sigh!!" I answered.
"It's absolutely fine, there's no need for you to explain it to me," she said.

I walked towards the kitchen to get back to my work, I just wanted to be normal as if nothing mattered anything between us, but it was so hard to do it, it was breaking me into pieces- whenever I was encountering him I felt numb and cold like an empty place left without any feelings, love or even a desire to experience the love again.

As I was walking towards the guests with the wine tray for the service, I saw someone was misbehaving with Miah and I was trying to approach her but the guests were having never ending desire for the wine, somehow I made it to her and asked her if there's something wrong going on here. "He is some rich businessman, I was just serving the snacks and he grabbed my wrist asking me if I have some time for him tonight" she sobbed a little as she explained. I was annoyed, I was pissed and it seriously made me walk towards him and I did it so.

As I called him by tapping on his shoulder, he gave a disgusting yet so cheesy look. I was literally being nice and asking him to apologise to Miah for his stupid actions but he disagreed and made claims and show offed a little like his money is everything in this world, now he was literally testing my patience and boom!!! The wine was on him now , I did it "yes you did" my mind said to me.

Everybody was astonished and Mr Rivera was giving me a fierce look, I regretted a little cause I didn't want to get fired up this soon especially here at Eric's party.

I see that everyone was gossiping and the guys behind the man approached me and they were dragging me out of the mansion and I was screaming my lungs out to prove my innocence.

Miah and my colleagues were also trying to drag me from the other side but nothing worked and I heard someone scream and it scared the shit out of me "STOPPPP". I looked back in hope and he was " Eric" walking towards us in his suit and damn he looked like an angel but a hot one, I almost gave him my heart again.

He grabbed my wrist and then my waist and he said " How dare you, you do that?!" One of them answered " Mr. Henderson she misbehaved with our boss Mr. Dias so please hand over her to us, we must punish her" I see Eric's jaw clenched and he was turning red now that's when on the men from Eric's side popped out and said, "we will look into this matter cause this party is launched by Henderson's company so you can tell Mr. Dias to be at ease!" I was now worried.

They took me to a room, there was no one in and they told me to wait. It was almost 50 minutes now and no one came into the room and I was super tired so I planned to take a nap just for a bit.

I woke and looked at the time and I realised that I was sleeping for more than three hours now, I panicked and walked out the room, I was stunned the door was open.

Eric's pov:

I heard noises and Eliza was screaming, I walked out of the meeting room and went into the crowd and the party turned into a battle there. I saw some men grabbing her so badly and it triggered me and I couldn't stop myself and then I screamed in anger to stop them. I approached her and took her by my side and made my men take her to a room and make her wait.

I walked to the meeting room and Mr Dias was waiting for me there. I asked him what happened, he simply denied his actions and claimed he is true. I showed him the CCTV footage of him grabbing Miah's hand and mumbling something and he also tried to misbehave with other girls at the party, the thought of him misbehaving with Eliza gave me chills and I simply told him that our contract is off and I can't work with someone who is a punk and who don't know how to talk or behave with the other gender, and I also informed him that my lawyer will sue him for his actions and his money can't save him this time. Mr Dias also challenged me that I  can't do any bad to him and I replied "The time will say it all"

Already an hour  passed and I remember I should check on Eliza and give her assurance about the issue. I was worried if she would have faith and courage in me.

As I walked into the room, she was sleeping like a tired baby, I didn't want to wake her up as I know how hardworking she is and took a blanket and covered her over because she was trembling a little from the cold. I sat there for an hour staring at her with utmost love. A sudden message made me leave the room in urgency and I forgot to lock the door.

I wish I could stay with her for a longer time and I hope that she would be awake and in love with me, when we do so.
