ERIC'S POV:

The island became our sanctuary, a hidden paradise untouched by the outside world. Days turned into weeks, and we settled into a rhythm of sun-kissed mornings, quiet afternoons, and starlit nights. Eliza and I explored every inch of the island, discovering hidden coves, secret waterfalls, and lush jungles teeming with life.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over the ocean, we sat on a cliff overlooking the vast expanse of water. The gentle lapping of waves against the shore provided a soothing soundtrack to our peaceful moment.

"Remember when we first met?" Eliza asked, her voice soft and nostalgic. "I never thought I'd find someone like you."

I smiled. "Me neither. You changed my life, Eliza."

She turned to me, her eyes sparkling. "I love you, Eric. More than words can say."

My heart swelled with love. "I love you too, Eliza. More than anything."

We shared a tender kiss, the salty ocean breeze carrying the sound of our hearts beating as one. As the night deepened, we lay on a blanket of soft grass, the vast expanse of stars above us.

"I wish we could stay here forever," Eliza whispered, her voice barely audible.

"We can," I replied, taking her hand. "We can create our own forever, wherever we are."

She turned to me, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "What do you say we start a family here? Our own little island paradise."

I laughed. "I'd love that, Eliza. A family, a home, and a life together."

We spent the rest of the night talking about our dreams, our hopes, and our future. As we drifted off to sleep, I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I had never experienced before. With Eliza by my side, I knew that we could face anything.

But our idyllic existence was shattered when a small boat appeared on the horizon. A group of men, armed and dangerous, landed on the beach. They were searching for us, their faces etched with determination. We knew we had to act fast.

We retreated into the dense jungle, our hearts pounding with fear and adrenaline. We moved silently through the undergrowth, the only sound the rustling of leaves and the distant cries of seabirds. The men were closing in, their voices echoing through the trees.

We reached a small, hidden cave, a perfect hiding spot. We huddled together, our breath mingling in the darkness. The men searched the island, their voices growing louder as they approached our hiding place.

I held Eliza's hand tightly, our fingers intertwined. "We'll be okay," I whispered, trying to reassure her.

But I knew that our situation was desperate. We were trapped, with nowhere to run. The men were relentless, determined to find us and bring us down.
