Water is back in the pipes this morning, so as usual, we catch up water in buckets and bottles. We had eggs for breakfast. This was the last of our yard fowl eggs. I'm really going to miss those kind of eggs. My uncle did so well raring chickens that produced such nice eggs. Hopefully, we don't lose our chickens.
My parents decided to go home today to try to do some cleaning. They passed by a shelter to meet one of the elderly neighbors we were concerned about. We are happy to know he's alive and well. We would love for him to live to the age of 90 and onwards. He is currently 89.
My father got help from my cousin to clean and take down the guttering around the house. It was heavy with ash so it was needed to be done. If not, it would definitely break down. The ash on the ground is extremely dry and blowing all over the place, so it's still difficult to breathe. Cleaning up would take forever, but hopefully we will get through. Little by little.
My mother made her best effort to try to clean our house. Upstairs, because it is closed up and should be able to stay reasonably clean, but downstairs.....
She really did try, but ash kept blowing into the house.
It's okay mommy... We know you usually keep the place clean it can't be helped for now, but we will do it.I was especially happy to see pictures of our neighbor's dogs. Our family made friends with them and they used to visit us regularly therefore they came when my parents visited. The nicknames we gave them were Lolly and Mr Smiley. My mother was sure to pack some bread for them to eat. Thank you for being alive doggies.

HOW THE ASH AFFECTED OUR PINEAPPLE PLANTS
A friend visited me today. He got my family a bottle of wine. It's an odd gift considering our situation but it was a nice gesture. I was happy for the company for the short period of time to tell all my thoughts to.

At about 4:30pm, shortly after my parents came back, we got the news that the volcano erupted again. It's going to be a while before we return home. Honestly, I'm starting to miss home.
My family ended the day by rinsing off by the beach. That lifted my mood slightly. Still praying that things will get better.
