I had another awful night. I hardly slept. Cheesecake gave us a lot of trouble and I kept checking my phone to see if I saw any other news. My sister slept like the dead though. I don't know how she could do that! I am sure, I heard noises during the night! The volcano had, sure enough, erupted again. When I looked out the window, everywhere was gloomy and grey. Covered with ash! I had never seen anything like it before. This definitely didn't help my anxiety. My mind wondered what it was like at home if I was relocated so far to the south of the island. The mountains were covered in ash. The general visibility was horrible. We spent our day indoors, listening to the live stream online. We were grateful to know that the rest of the brethren worldwide were praying for us. I would like to acknowledge how blessed we are to have had some fresh vegetables. My wonderful mother at the last minute had packed some. We were, therefore, able to get fresh vegetables with our fried fish and bread.

At the night time of that day, the volcano had erupted again and the gases caused us to see lightning. That was another scary thing to witness.
