"Thank you for your magnificent work Kaoru," the old man said happy.
Kaoru gave the man a pleased smile and said he did not mind.
"Ah before I forget. My wife made these for you. Share them with miss (Y/N)!" the man placed a piece of cloth on the table.

You looked up as your name fell and saw both Kaoru and the man looking at you.
"I would appreciate it if you would only call me (Y/N). I don't mind."

Kaoru reached for the cloth and unwrapped a box that held mochi.
"They're my wifes famous chocolate and sakura mochi. I bet you will enjoy them."

"We will, thank you," Kaoru thanked him and put the box next to him.
"I look forward to seeing you again. You too (Y/N)." the man told you before leaving.

"Carla,"
 "yes master?"

"set an appointment for the tenth next month. Takahiro will be coming again."

"He seems to come often," you begun.
"yes, he comes by almost every month. He always gifts my work to his children and friends."

"wow, that must mean he likes your work very much."
"He has a good eye."

You laughed.

"You finished with the piece?" he changed the topic.
You nodded and grabbed the canvas to show him.

"I finished earlier but I did not want to interrupt you, so I added a bit."

"show me," he simply said.

"here," you gave him the canvas and watched his reaction.

"The brush work still needs to be neater in the long strokes but other then that I think this much will be alright." You begun smiling as you listened to Kaoru.

Happy that he deemed your work alright.

"The drawing suits the meaning. But it is a bit much. The trees over towers the phrase and shifts it to the background. Next time you think about adding nature do it moderate. Think about the beauty in simpleness. After all this is no painting."

You took another look at the canvas knowing Kaorus point of view you saw what he meant.
This was no painting. It was calligraphy. Even if the theme fit with the phrase it made it look small and the painting was kindof ruining everything.

"I see what you mean. I will work on that. Thanks!"

Calligraphy was a different form of art. You wanted to work on your art and Kaoru was a huge help.

Kaoru and you spent the rest of the day talking to each other and serving costumers.
You noticed that Kaoru was not as serious as you first thought.

He was a quite funny fellow if you read between the lines.

I think Kaoru and me will get along just fine.
I grabbed my bag and stuffed all my things inside. I wrapped the Tote-bag around my shoulder and walked into the front of the shop.
"I will go home now, Kaoru. Have a nice day!" You told him with a smile.
"You too (Y/N)-san. Until tomorrow." He smiled at you and waved.

You smiled back and left the store.

It was really hot outside and you were happy you had spent the whole day in the cool room with Kaoru. Working in this heat at your old workplace would be a pain!

You stretched your arms and yawned.
Thank god you were finished with working.

Humming all the way home, you enjoyed the sun and slowly walked home.

You walked past a flower shop and stopped for a second to stare at the beautiful flowers.
On a short notice you decided to walk into the shop and purchase flowers for your living room.

"Hello! How can I help you?" A nice looking man approached you.
He had light brown hair and wore an apron.
