⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ : Cursing, trauma, and violence.

Narrators POV:

Blair's hand began slowly tapping against her leg unknowingly as her nerves took over. She could feel her brain going into overdrive thinking of the millions of scenarios that might happen.

The lady could have no information or maybe have knowledge of something blair wasn't ready to accept. Either way she kept walking, one foot in front of the other.

Allison walked in front of both blair and five because she looked the oldest. Although in that moment she didn't feel old. She felt like a 3 year old ready to hide under blankets because of a silly thunderstorm. When she finally reached the bright red door she paused her breath hitching. There was still time to leave and never come back.

Five stepped in front of her resisting the urge to roll his eyes. He was sure if he rolled them as often as he did around his siblings eventually they would get stuck.

"If its really that hard to knock on a fucking door i'll do it for you" five mumbled hitting his knuckles lightly against the door. They heard footsteps shuffle as blair muttered "Is fuck your favorite word? You seem to say it every 5 minutes" in an attempt to calm herself.

Five shrugged turning his head to show her his smirk "No, but it would be if you said it more often". Blair's eyes widen in surprise, her hands finally coming to a stop at her sides.

She attempted to answer with some remark, but when she opened her mouth to speak the door creaked up. Blair thanked whatever gods were listening for the timing because she did not in fact have a witty comeback.

The woman that could only be Dr.Kelly stood in the doorway. She wore a nice light blue pair of mom jeans with a old looking bleach stained AC/DC shirt. Her hair was slightly curled at the tips that reached just below her shoulders.

"Um excuse, who are you" the woman asked her brows furrowing together in confusion. Allison stepped forward showing her rows of perfectly white teeth.

"Hi, my name is Alison Hargreeves and I was wondering if I could speak to Dr.Kelly. She has some information I believe that could save many lives" she confidently spoke.

Dr.kelly stared at us suspiously for a few moments. "Hargreeves? I've heard that last name some where" she ponders eyeing the three siblings up and down. Of course she had heard their last name. Who didn't?

"We're part of the umbrella academy" Blair pipes up sliding to stand next to five. Something flickers just behind the eyes of the woman, but to there unfortunance the siblings miss it. She gives them a warm smile that doesn't meet her eyes. A smile that could be compared to a snake just before it squeezes the life out of you.

"Anything for you superhero's I guess" she mumbled using her hand to gesture they come inside. Her house was much bigger then it looked from the outside. She had a wide staircase with two books shelf's on each side that had small flowers carved into them.

A chandler hung right upon the ceiling with what slowly reflected rainbow light around the house. "Wow" Blair whispers in admiration unable to take her eyes off many books Dr.Kelly owned.

She felt something tug harshly at the sleeve of her black long sleeve shirt. "Come on Blair, we don't have time for this" five demands pulling her into an even bigger living room. Kelly sat on a white leather couch that looked like it would squeak every time she moved, while Allison sat on a light blue fuzzy couch.

The 16 year old couldn't help but stare at everything. She kept thinking that when she got older she wanted to own a house like this. A home that made you feel safe. She craved that, they all did.

"What can I help you with" kelly asks looking slightly uncomfortable. Five eyebrows were creased together is thought. He felt like something had to be off. She was being to welcoming. To nice. Or maybe that's just his paranoia.

"Your connected to the commission" Blair accuses her voice blank of emotion. The women's eyes widen as if she didn't know how they knew such a secret. "Umm, do you guys like tea? Yeah I'm gonna go make some tea before we talk- my throat is just so dry" Kelly rambles on before standing.

She hurry's out of room almost tripping over the plush white rug. The siblings eye each other suspiciously. "What was that about" Allison whispered facing five. The room went silent with no replie, the only noise being the drapes smacking against the stain glass window.

Something was wrong. Five could feel it the moment he stepped into the house. His eyes flickered around the room searching for some answer. "She knows something, something she doesn't want us to know" he mumbles under his breath.

After a long couple of minutes the doctor walked in with 4 cups of tea balanced in her hands. A Lipton tea tag was sticking out of each cup. Blair internally cringe. She couldn't help but think when Kelly said she was bringing tea, that she would bring real tea. Green tea was Blair's favorite.

"Now back to your-" Kelly began before a bullet flew right past her head. I looked up to see Kelly rushing out of the room as glass shards flew everywhere ruining the perfect picture living room. "Crappp" Allison cried out flinging her head forward. Small drops of crimson blood flowed down her tank top.

Blair looked up only to realize she had been pulled to the floor, fives hand on the back of her neck. Blood dripped down her wrists from the pieces of glass stabbing into her arm. She felt like she couldn't breath as tears began to flow down her face. "Blair we have to move" five screams yanking her away from the window.

All he could think about was getting her out of here. Was helping her. Blair was frozen, trembling on the floor. "Blair we're going to die if you don't move" Allison yells with pain clear in her voice. This time Blair looks up at five with terror in her eyes.

The glass. All she could think of was the shattered glass. Blair's mind was in a different place than her body completely. All she could think of was that night. The images flash through her mind. A old authoritative man. A not good enough daughter. A hand grabbed Blair's chin tilting her face up.

"I don't know where your mind is right now, but the only way we can get out of here is if you wake up from whatever nightmares haunts you" five says taking Blair's hand in his. She squeezes his hand back in acknowledgment allowing five to pull out of the room, Allison already having left. Bullets fly past them missing by only inches, but Blair doesn't hear or see them. Tears are still staining her cheeks.

"How do we get out" Allison questions huddling into the side of a wall that separates them from the living room. She sits holding her shoulder tightly against her chest. Blair and five take shelter next to her. "I can teleport us back to the mansion, but I have to do it one by one or else something could go wrong" five says with uneasiness.

"That's fine, take allison first since she's
hu-" Blair begins before quickly getting interrupted. "No, no way I'm not leaving you here" five responds in frustration. Than they hear it. The door slammed open with a loud bang almost bursting their ear drums.

"There's no time to argue, Allison needs help. Go!" She screams in desperation. They hear footsteps coming closer and with one last glance five disappears with Allison in a cloud of blue. Blair feels the sting of the glass again with not distractions this time.

Before her mind even has time to return to the dark place she had forced herself to crawl out of day by day she hears heels smacking the wood next to her. "Hello Blair, nice to finally meet you" a woman whispers, the words rolling off her tongue like it was somehow a threat. Blair feels the poke of a needle and a different kind of darkness consumes her.

Hey whoever has taken the time to read this. I have a lot of family stuff currently and I just starting go back to school so that's why I haven't posted a new chapter recently, but I'm still alive. I promise I'm going to finish this no matter how long it takes me. Also I renamed the book "shattered" because it fits perfectly with everything.
