"He's my cousin."

Oh.

Oh no.

Guilt washes over you in an angry tidal wave of too many emotions. Relief. Regret. Giddiness. Self-loathing.

Of course she would never cheat! God, why did you ever doubt her?

"Oh.. thanks for telling me. I was terrified that you were..."

"Cheating? Yeah, I should have been more clear with you. I'm sorry (y/n). No, that was Oscar. He came to visit because his family has been having money troubles. That's the family problems too. He was only here for a day, so I spent the day with him. I would have told you, but I didn't have much of an advance, and he doesn't really like talking about it, much less to strangers."

"So... you're not mad at me?" You ask in disbelief.

"No. I mean I really didn't give you much to work with, did I?"

"I guess. Thank you for understanding." You respond with a smile. Suddenly you notice tears running down your face. Tears of relief. Tears of joy. Tears that are thanking God that your intuition was right for once.

She gently wipes them away, leaving only a small gap between your faces. "No, thanks be to you, (N/n (nickname)). Most people probably would have been to blind with their emotions to see that I'm telling the truth."

"Yeah I guess. Can I...?"

She nods and leans in, closing the gap. This kiss somehow felt better than the first. It felt more like a warm bath after a hard, stressful day. Relief and relaxation laced with familiarity courses through your body leaving you in ecstasy after even a short closed-mouth kiss like that.

"I'll never doubt you again. God knows I didn't want to this time either."

"I love you (y/n). I don't know what I did to deserve you."

"Words can't express how much you mean to me." At this point, you're both gently crying, but that's okay. Everything is okay now that Luna is back in your arms.

"When is the last time we went on a date?" She asks with that adorable far-away look on her face.

"I don't remember now that I think about it." You reply. It had been awhile thanks to the sudden up rise in homework recently.

"Well let's go on one. This Saturday. I don't care what we're doing, I just want to be with you and only you."

"Okay. For this one, we shouldn't plan. Let's just go where our hearts lead us. No matter what, we're guaranteed to have a good time."

"Sounds like a plan... or well... it's a date I guess would be more appropriate."

You giggle to yourself, "yeah." The bell to go to class rings. Luna starts to get up when you say, "hey Luna?"

"Yeah, (N/n)?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Nothing. Everything. For being you."

"I love you, (full name), I love you more than you could possibly know."

"Well I'm glad that we are on the same page then." You reply with a smile as you two walk to class, fingers intertwined, hearts once again melted together.

God, you think, you two are so lucky to have found each other.

(Hey guys! I'm so sorry for the lack of updates, I've been sooo busy, and I let my grades slip, so I had to fix that. Also, I'm sorry for the short chapter, I just couldn't think of anything else to add to this one. Thanks for being patient with me, I love you all so much!)
