I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I rubbed my eyes, and looked down at the floor. What even happened? Why were my parents fighting last night? Did Micheal come back?
I got up from my bed and walked out into the hallway. I creaked open my brother's bedroom door.
"Micheal? Are you okay?"
No response.
"M-Micheal?" I said.
I looked down at his bed and saw nothing. Where was he? He never goes out without telling mom or dad. I get it, it's a Saturday. He could be anywhere. Right?
I walked downstairs into the kitchen and saw my mom.
"Hey mom. Everything okay?" I said, walking to the fridge.
"Yes, sweetie. Everything's okay." She said.
Sweetie? What kind of bullshit is she trying to pull here? She never calls me sweetie.
"I know what happened last night. I heard it."
"That's none of your business, Bella."
I opened the fridge and pulled out the bottle of orange juice. I poured mom and me a glass and went back to sit down.
"Just tell me mom." I said.
She turned to face me. "Bella. It's none of your business."
She grabbed the glass of orange juice and started walking to her bedroom.
"Wait. Mom." I said.
"What is it Bella?" She asked, gripping the doorknob.
"Where's Micheal?"
She looked at me. "I don't know. Shouldn't you?"
"Y-Yeah. He's probably sleeping."
She opened the door and slammed it shut.
I sighed and looked down at the tablecloth. Where was my brother? Where was Hannah? Hannah. Micheal. I need to find them..
