"Mason I think we should." I say as I look
up at him.
"Really?" He says smiling.
"Yes."
This was the moment I have been waiting for.
"When should we tell the kids?" I ask.
"Tonight over dinner?" He replies.
I nod my head and walk back upstairs. Micheal , Haley and Bella are some of the nicest kids i have ever met. Adopting them would lift everyone's spirits. I walk into my room and lay down on my bed. I stare up at the ceiling for what feels like forever.
Night arrives faster than i thought it would. I walk downstairs and start to chop carrots. I hear people walking behind me. All the kids storm into the room laughing together. "Whats so funny?" i ask. "Bella just made a funny joke" lucas replied. "Go wash up for dinner kids me and your mom have some news" says mason walking in the room. They all nod and head upstairs to get ready for dinner. Me and mason smile at each other.
When the kids come back down they help me set the table and we all sit down. We say our prayers and begin to eat. "So we have something we want to tell you guys" Mason says looking at me. I nod and thats when he says it. "If its okay with you guys we would live to adopt you..." he says and the room goes silent. I feel my stomach turn as the silence grows. They look at each other and stand up. I get nervous and i just look at them. They run over to us and hug us. I felt my stomach loosen and a big smile grew on my face. "Is that a yes then?" i say laughing. They nod there heads and we finish dinner.
