I walk to Bella's house feeling guilty. I shouldn't feel guilty right? Or maybe I should. I have all these questions and no answers. That's when I see Bella's house. I walk up to the door and knock. I don't hear anything. I turn the handle and then the door opens. I slowly walk in and don't see anyone. I walk up the stairs and call Bella's name. No reply. That's when I see it. The blood on the floor. It's fresh. This must have been from Bella's chin. I knew she was bleeding but not this badly. I walk over to the coach and sit down. What have I done? I messed up. Bella was my best friend, and I took advantage of that. I get up and walk outside. Once I get home I walk in the front door.
"Hi sweetie." my mom says with a kind voice.
"Hey mom. I think I just lost Bella." I say with a sad voice.
"Who's Bella?" She asks confused. I remember about her Alzheimer's and remember to remind her.
"Remember, my best friend from 3rd grade?" I say.
"Yeah sure sweetie." she says trying to act as if she remembers even though I know she's lying.
"I'm gonna head upstairs mom."
I feel sad. Remembering that my mom just got Alzheimer's. She doesn't deserve this.
