Chapter 26-Fiance to McCann

Penelope's Point Of View:

I blinked a few times as my chest was rising up and down. It was all just a dream. Jason hadn't woken up yet. A few tears fell from my eyes and covered my face with my hands.

Just a dream.It was just a dream.

"Mommy? Are you ok?" Cara jumped up on the bed and hugged my belly.

"Y-yeah I'm okay, why did you wake up?"

"I couldn't sleep." I smiled and nodded.

Just when I was about to sleep again, Cara asked a question.

"Why isn't daddy here? Why is he at the white building? Why doesn't he talk to me?"

"Sweetie,he's..he's sleeping over." I said as a few tears fell.

"But..but why hasn't he come home yet? Daddy has been there for awhile now,momma. I miss him."

I hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead.

"Maybe he'll come home tomorrow. now..let's get some sleep." I tucked her in and gave her a goodnight kiss.

Maybe Jason will never wake up. Maybe he'll just die. Our little peanut probably won't see his/her dad. What will I tell Cara? She's going to be heartbroken. What will happen if Jason dies? Moving on from him would be the last thing that I would to in this world. I could never move on from him,the love of my life.

"Goodnight,momma." Cara kissed my cheek and snuggled into me as I wrapped my arms around her small body.

"Mommy! Wake up! You promised that we would go to the mall!"

"Mhm.. Cara it's still so early in the morning.." I turned around and placed my head under  the pillow.

"It's 11,mommaaa!"

"Why do I have to wake up now?"

"Because you promised me that we would go shopping today!" Cara clapped her hands and smiled.

I sighed and nodded while I sat up. Being pregnant isn't the best feeling in the world right now.

"Come on." I took Cara's hand and walked with her to the bathroom so we both could get ready.

After we both got in the shower,got some clothes on us and ate breakfast, we headed to the mall.

"Momma,there's this new girl that I really like! She's my best friend! Her name is Aubrey Bieber. She's really nice,mommy. Can I bring her home so we can play with my toys?" Cara jumped up and down in her seat while she smiled.

"Of course,sweetie.  How is she like?"

"She's really funny! And she looks like Justin Bieber! That's really cool!" I laughed at her.

"Maybe because she's his daughter,sweetheart."

"What's daughter? I've never heard that word before!"

"You're my daughter,like I'm you grandmas daughter. And someday,you maybe will have a daughter." I said and looked at the review mirror. My little baby. No matter how much she grows, or what age she is, she'll always be my little baby.

"Let's go here!"  Cara dragged me to at least like 10 stores, and she would always walk out with at least 1 or 2 bags, such a cutie. But now I know how guys feel when they are out and shopping with their girlfriend.

I did actually pick up some cute dresses and stuff like that,but I probably wouldn't fit in those before I get skinnier. Which probably will take a couple of months.

"Okay,Sweetie. We've been here for awhile now. Where do you want to eat?"

"Ohh! McDonald's!" I laughed and took her hand. She's just like Jason,daddy's princess. Before we ate,we put the bags in the car,it would be really hard to eat with a bunch of bags.

We ordered and waited for our order.

"Momma? Can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah,of course,sweetie." I said while I stroked her brown hair.

"When is daddy going to be back?"

"Soon,baby. Soon." I hope.

After we ate,we got back to shopping for awhile but I got tired so we went home.

When we got back to the house,I turned the TV on while Cara got upstairs to get her toys. So she can watch My Little Pony while playing her toys. And of course, I fell asleep on the couch.

I was woken up by my phone that was vibrating on the table. Without looking who it was, I answered.

"H-Hello?" 

"Is this Penelope Martinez? Fiance to..Justin McCann?" 

"Uhm..Yes? Who's this?"

"I'm calling from the hospital, Mr.McCann is awake now."
