I sigh out blissfully as I fed (h/n) some wheat while Historia went around chasing the kids around. I smile softly, seeing them all laugh out in joy beneath the bright blue sky and warm sun. (h/n) nudges my back and I pet his muzzle gently, him huffing against my hair. It's been around 2 months so to say since Historia was crowned queen and delivered a project of running an orphanage for kids from the underground and those from the outer walls that were attacked by titans. That was her first order of business and obviously Levi agreed to help with the idea since he was from the underground. As soon as the orphanage was up and running, I agreed to help run it with Historia and some of the cadets that came by when they were free. Erwin had asked me to stay at the orphanage, for the time being, build my strength back up until there was another mission.
"Miss (y/n)! I turn around and see one of the smaller children with a gapped toothy smile squeal over to me and jump in my arms.
"Hi little one." I pinched the little girl's nose and spun her around in my arm. "What brings you here? Are you on a mission?"
"Yes! I came to bring your prince! He was looking for you!" I look over and blush seeing Levi chuckle softly as he stood in front of me.
"Oh did you. Well, that was very kind of you." I set the girl down on her feet and I sneak out a piece of candy for her. "Here's your prize of being a good girl. Don't tell the others ok. It's our little secret." the girl thanks me, jumping on my neck to hug me before zooming off.
"Bribing little brats huh?" Levi asks as I straighten my back.
"How else are you going to get them in line. They hardly listen to anyone."
"You can always discipline them." I narrow my eyes at Levi and he just shrugs.
"What brings you here Levi."
"Wanted to see how you're holding up. I see the bags are still there." Levi refers to the dark circles under my eyes and I glare at him. "Are you healing properly though? You still don't look good." Levi mutters out and I tighten the shawl around my shoulders.
I was healing slowly, my body was scrawny looking, almost like a skeleton but the months where I haven't transformed is allowing me to heal. Thank god too cause it looked like I was slowly disintegrating.
"I'm fine. It's taking a while but I'm getting there. How are you and everything else back with Erwin and stuff."
"Slow. Eren managed to control his hardening ability and we created a new weapon."
"Ah yes, that wooden guillotine something or other."
"Of course you would know."
"I know everything." I grin at Levi, pointing to my nose and (n/h) huffs out, wacking his tail at Levi's face.
