"Oh, I hate this so much-Fuck!" I hiss out in pain as I collide my hip against the edge of something sharp while trying to navigate my way out of Levi's bedroom. I lower myself, as If being smaller would help me find the door and I walk slowly with my arms out and touching things until I found the doorknob. "Levi?" I ask out, blinking slightly at the splotch of a faint orangy-yellowish glow in my line of vision besides the usual grey and black.
"(y/n)?" I hear Levi and I expect that he's at his table but I hear the chair scrape against the floor quickly before the light steps walked towards me.
"What time is it?" I yawn out, feeling Levi hold my hand and my racing heart immediately calms down knowing he was near me.
"It's past 3 in the morning. What the fuck are you doing up?"
"I could ask you the same thing you insomniac!" I hear Levi tsk and he moves to lead me back to his bed. I've been staying in his room for the last couple of weeks as my vision slowly started getting better. I could see faint colour and it wasn't as blurry as before but it was progressing. Something I never thought would happen. Close up in bright light, I can sometimes see Levi's smile, well the corner of his mouth twitching upwards whenever he was amused or annoyed.
I never knew how much I missed seeing his smile or his face, or anyone's face in fact.
Levi didn't want me out of his sight in case I accidentally kill myself in my bedroom. Well, considering I'm still bumping into things, I wouldn't be surprised. Levi has been oddly soft and caring towards me, being patient with me and non-stop on my ass for doing things without him by my side. I needed him holding my hand to guide me and even then I was still unsure of my surroundings.
But that doesn't mean I don't feel guilty, like an extra burden on his shoulders. "You need to sleep." Levi sets me down back in his bed and I reach out for him. I feel his hand grab mine and I know he's standing in front of me.
"So do you. I know you only need like 3 hours sleep a day but that's going to bite you back in the ass later in the future."
"And to think I'm the one looking after you." Levi lets out a scoff and I smile.
"Thank you for looking after me."
Levi stays quiet for a bit and I get worried that something had happened. "You're welcome." Levi's voice was suddenly soft and I tug his arm.
"Just sleep. Get some proper rest. Please." I hear him sigh out and I keep tugging his shirt.
"Ok fine. I'm letting go now ok." I nod and settle myself in the blanket as Levi changes out of his uniform. The bed dips next to me and I turn around to hopefully face Levi. "Now go to sleep brat." I nod and close my eyes, feeling safe with someone next to me.
