I watched silently as every military soldier from the four different branches mingled about and chatter, eager for the ceremony to begin. I stood next to Levi, fixing my own scout cloak that everyone wore as he simply had his arms crossed in front of his chest.
"Stop wiggling around. You look fine." Levi mutters out and I freeze, stopping myself from being a nitpick but I had the urge to fix one last thing but I hold back.
It's like not scratching an itch!
I look over and see Floch arguing with the three childhood friends and I groan in annoyance.
I want to slap him so bad.
"Brat, what are you doing?" I walk over to Floch, getting irritated as he spouts off at my precious sunflower boi.
"It's cause you two got emotional and captain Levi did the same. He's alive cause you think your friends are more important-"
"-hey Floch." I grin mischievously, gripping the back of his neck and forcing him to my height. "How are you? Oh right no one asked. You know who I am right?" Floch glares at me. "I'm sure you do. The one person out of everyone here who knows the future. So when I say that Captain Levi made the right choice, he made the right choice."
"How was letting Commander Erwin die the right choice!?"
"That's none of your business and only mine to know. I agree it's sad that he had to pass on but he needed to rest from this hell hole. But Armin here had a future, a goal in sight for humanity where Erwin didn't. Now that is a big difference in a leader, plus the fact that Armin is a great strategist and won't sacrifice soldier lives." Floch gulps as I smile at him, him trying to tug his collar which I made sure to hold on tight. "I'm sure you understand right? Now be a good boy and run along or maybe I won't save your ass next time."
"Y-yeah. Got it." Floch immediately runs off and Jean, Connie and Sasha burst out laughing.
"Shit (y/n), now I know to not get on your bad side ever." Jean wheezes out, trying to calm his laughter and I just chuckle.
"I had a bone to pick with Floch for a long time. He annoys the fuck out of me. I was so close to smacking him." I hear a slight snicker and I see Mikasa hiding behind her hand as Armin just sighs with a smile.
"You're nearly as terrifying as captain Levi." Eren grins and I shrug.
"Nah. He's not terrifying. Levi is a big softie."
"Who you calling a softie?" Everyone shuts up quickly and I turn around to see Levi raise a brow at me.
"You duh. You're like a dad and the scouts are your kids. You love and care about them so yes, you're a big softie." I giggle, poking Levi's chest and he swats my hand away.
