Corpse

I stretched out on my bed as I didn't want to move, I had just finished sitting in a long meeting with 'perfect' posture. I leaned my head back against my headboard and closed my eyes.

My black bed was messy and my curtains were drawn so that it was dark. I was wearing a black suit and had kicked my shoes off at the door to my room. My crown was back on its stand as I didn't want to wear it right now.

It was a dark golden color with black gems studded along it. I hated to wear it if I didn't have to so most of the time it sat in its case in my room.

I felt dizzy for no reason and closed my eyes. When the feeling subsided I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Was there any reason for that?

The door to my room opened and Sykunno walked in. I fell off my bed in shock and confusion.

"Oh Jesus Corpse. Are you alright?" He asked and ran to my side. I shook my head and looked at him with a weird face.

"Y-yeah. What are you doing here?" I asked and he tilted his head.

"Me? What are any of us doing here?" He asked. At that point I think he realized my confusion. "Oh Jesus. You haven't been outside. Come on," he said and helped me up. His crown sat straight on his head so I figured I probably needed mine to.

I pulled my shoes on and put my crown onto my head. Sykunno grabbed my wrist and dragged me out into a hallway. I stumbled a little and straightened myself back up.

"Sykunno, where are-?" I started to ask only to be interrupted by a hologram appearing.

"Corpse of Hallkarta, we hope you enjoy planet Polus. Feel free to explore," it said and faded away. I glanced at my friend and stared at where it had been previously. He shrugged and led me outside. We passed one other room on the way out and I caught a glimpse of Valkyraes name.

"Sykunno, what's going on?" I asked. He kept dragging me and turned right so we were walking towards the back of the hallway. Sykunno pointed out the three males there and got their attention.

"Guys. This is Corpse of Hallkarta," Sykunno said and they all waved at me. Dakotaz was messing with a box half in the ground, Steven was playing with two boxes and 5up was just there.

"You two are allies aren't you?" He asked. We both nodded and 5up thought for a moment. "I wonder," he murmured quietly and was putting clues together.

"You good, man?" Steven asked. 5up hummed a little in response before his eyes widened.

"Of course. If we aren't appearing by rooms, then we must be appearing by friends or allies," he said. I remained quiet and bit my lip as Sykunno squealed a little.

"So that means Valkyrae will be here next," he said and my eyes widened. 5up nodded, thought it through.

"That makes sense, the question is when though?" I asked, and 5up sighed.

"6 appeared yesterday, but 5 kingdoms because me and Hafu are twins. So let's assume it's five. Based on that logic one appears overnight, one appears mid morning, one appears around noon, one mid afternoon, and the last at sunset," 5up reasoned.

"How do we tell time?" Sykunno asked and 5up just shrugged.

"That's what we don't know. There's no clocks so right now it's just whenever the next person gets here. But at some point-" he started but I cut him off.

"The hallway will fill up and we'll be left without time," I muttered and he nodded. Sykunno was close to my side and was holding onto my wrist as well. Steven said something under his breath and 5up lost interest in us.

Sykunno dragged me away again and we saw a girl and two more boys. He told me who they were, Ellum, Koji, and Hafu, before he waved to them.

"5up thinks he figured out how we're appearing," Sykunno said and Hafu cocked and eyebrow.

"And how is that?" She asked and Sykunno gestured to me.

"By allies. Which means Valkyrae should be next!" Sykunno said. He was super excited about it and I smiled slightly.

"Perfect. Go wait for her and we can figure out the order in which people are getting here," Hafu said and walked away from Koji and Ellum. Not that they cared though.

Koji and Ellum walked off as well in a different direction as Sykunno nudged me.

"Let's go corpse! We can see her soon!" He said. I laughed a little and followed him back to the hallway

"Where should we wait?" I asked him, not feeling super well about waiting in Valkyraes room.

"My room!" Sykunno said and led me to it. It was across from Valkyrae's room and he pulled me onto the bed. He leaned into my side and yawned.

"Tired?" I asked and he only nodded in response before closing his eyes
