Chapter Two

Y/N's POV:

I take a step onto the grass in front of me, the wind blowing throughout my hair.

Y/N: "You ready, F/N?" I call out to him.

F/N: "Yeah, ready to watch you lose." He chuckles.

My face shifts into a brave smirk as i pull out my pokeball.

I immediately throw it to the ground. It gives a bright shining light for a couple seconds.

Fennekin, my long known partner appears right out in front of me.

Her head turns around to me and gives me a smile.

Fennekin: "Fennekin!" She speaks.

F/N grabs his pokeball and throws it out. A bright light shines for a matter of seconds.

His Snivy appears. I nod my head as the battle starts.

Y/N: "FENNEKIN! USE SCRATCH!" I command.

She runs towards the snivy and attacks. Snivy dodges her move.

F/N: "USE VINE WHIP!"

Snivy quickly uses their attack on fennekin. Sadly before she could react, she was hit.

She lands on her side as she grunts in pain.

Y/N: "FENNEKIN!" I call out worriedly.

She shakes her head and stands back up on her legs, ready to continue fighting.

I smile at her.

She never gives up. I have faith in her.

We'll do this together!

(After the pokemon battle)

Fennekins opponent is almost down.

F/N: "Snivy! You can win this!"

I command fennekin to use one final attack in our battle.

Y/N: "USE FIREBLAST!" I command. She nods her head and uses her attack.

Flames burst out.

The snivy falls onto the ground, defeated.

Y/N: "Amazing, fennekin!"

I run towards her and pet her on the head.

She smiles at me warmly.

F/N: "Good game, Y/N." He says as he captures his snivy in his pokeball.

Y/N: "Yeah."

A bright line shines in front of both of us. This catches our attention.

Y/N: "Huh?" I look to fennekin to see her transformation.

I take a step back in surprise.

Is she.... is she evolving?

The light shines brighter, only to soon fade away in a matter of seconds.

My eyes grow wider in shock as what reveals in front of me.

Fennekin evolved into a braixen.

She looks all around before she looks above to me.

Her glistening red eyes gaze at mine.

Y/N: "Wow.. y-you evolved!"

This takes me back by surprise.

She walks towards me and hugs me.

A faint blush grows on my cheeks.

Y/N: "I'm so happy for you." I say as i hug her back.

She's been a fennekin for so long, and she's finally a braixen now.

I can get use to this. After all, she's my best partner.
