Chapter Fifteen

Y/N's POV:

The sun shines down onto my face as we both take a nice walk through the park.

Wind blows gently through the leaves of the trees, blowing some leaves onto the grass.

Braixen walks beside me with a smile on her face. She must enjoy walks with me.

Every minute, she inches a bit closer to me and smiles warmly.

Braixen was my first pokemon and I'm very glad to have her, but..

Ever since I caught lopunny that day, i've been thinking a lot..

I've decided that.. maybe she can help fight in battles with me.

She'd could be really great in combat, and perhaps she can-

???: "Hey."

A bit of a deep voice calls out to me. I turn around to see someone taller than me.

He wears a black jacket and black jeans with dirty blonde hair.

Y/N: "Oh uh, hello." I greet him.

???: "You have a nice pokemon. How would you like to battle with me?"

He takes out a pokeball from his pocket and holds it in his hand.

A battle..? Usually I would be up for this, but I kind of have to run an errand.

Y/N: "I appreciate the offer, but I'm a little busy at the moment."

???: "Aw come on, lets make a deal. If you beat me in a battle, I'll pay you 20 bucks..."

Y/N: "..You will?"

???: "And if I win, you owe me the same amount. We got a deal?"

A battle offer with a random stranger.. I could make some quick cash.

Would braixen be in the mood to battle?

I look over to braixen to see her staring with a delighted smile.

Braixen: "Braixen!" She says with a smile.

You know, braixen may be my number 1 pokemon.. but maybe I should let lopunny take a turn.

Y/N: "Lopunny's gonna battle for this one, okay? How about you go sit out?"

Her smile soon fades as she stares at me with a sad expression.

Y/N: "Dont worry, you go take a break." I try to reassure her.

She stays silent for a couple of seconds until closes her eyes and nods.

Braixen walks over to the bench and sits down, clearly upset.

..Is she mad at me? Eh, she'll get over it.

I take out my pokeball out of my pocket and throw it onto the ground.

Lopunny appears as a bright light shines out for a matter of seconds.

Lopunny: "Lopunny!" She yells with an eager to fight.

I've been training her for a while now so I hope she'll do well.

The stranger tosses his pokeball onto the ground, unleashing his own pokemon.

Both of us back up to give them their own fighting space.

Lopunny turns her head to me and gives me a brave smile.

Y/N: "Alright, lets do this!" I yell.

As I finally commanded her attack, the battle started.

Braixen's POV:

Anger builds up inside of me as I watch lopunny battle with the pokemon.

Why didn't he let me fight? I'm his number one pokemon..

I always fight in battles for him! Mainly because I WAS his only one, until SHE showed up.

And instead.. he lets lopunny go in? what does she know? I'm clearly a better fighter!

I always want to impress him in battles.. and this is the first time I get-

..You know what, it doesn't matter. She'll lose this battle anyway.

She probably doesn't even know anything about fighting.

And once she loses, Y/N will ALWAYS choose me in battles knowing that she cant win~

A cruel smirk grows on my face as my eyes hover over to Y/N.

He looks so attractive from here.. If only he could love me the same way I do~

Y/N: "One last time, Lopunny!" He suddenly yells in cheer.

Hm? What is he even talking about- My eyes go wide as I see her opponent almost down.

How could she.. I was so distracted the whole time that I didnt even realize!

Lopunny gave her one last attack, finally taking the pokemon down.

It falls on the ground with swirls in its eyes meaning its knocked out.

Y/N: "AMAZING LOPUNNY!" He cheers in happiness.

This immediately makes me twitch a little as I stare at this.

???: "I can't believe this.. ugh, a deals a deal." He scoffs and rolls his eyes.

He handed Y/N some money and captures his pokemon before walking off in the process.

Y/N: "Good job lopunny! You were great out there!" Y/N says happily.

How did she win? How could she beat them??

Lopunny smiles warmly and gives him a big hug.. Y/N hugs her back..

I can hear my heart pound fast. My eyes glue onto lopunny, staring her down with hatred.

Lopunny hovers her eyes over to me and looks at me.

She gives me a smug look and a smirk as she flips me off.

Braixen: *Gasp* 

Did she just.. thats it. I'm gonna deal with her.

They let go of each other and Y/N captures her inside the pokeball.

He walks over to me and waves with a smile.

Y/N: "Hey braixen. Lopunny was great in battle, right?"

I stay silent and nod my head. Obviously, I'm just trying to go along with it.

Y/N: "Well, lets continue what we were doing." He says.

I get up from the bench and I follow him. Lopunny better watch herself..

Because my Y/N should only love ME.. ONLY ME.
