Chapter Eight

Y/N's POV:

I take the pokeball I always have been using off the shelf.

Today was a long day, and i'm sure she's tired too.

I face the pokeball towards her ready to capture her.

But before I could do it, braixen speaks up.

Braixen: "Braixen.." She says with flustered look.

Y/N: "..What is it?" I ask confused.

She slowly looks down onto the floor.

Blush rises on her cheeks as she walks towards me.

Y/N: "Hm?"

Braixen lifts her paw up and lays it on my hand, lowering it down.

I stare at her in a bit of surprise.

She takes the pokeball and tosses it in the corner of the room.

Confusion fills my mind as I look back at her.

Y/N: "..You don't want to go in your pokeball?"

Braixen walks up to me and hugs me.

Y/N: "B-Braixen?" I say in surprise..

It took me a while to understand what she wanted.

Y/N: "You can't sleep in the bedroom." I simply say to her.

She lets go of me.

Her face shifts into a begging look, causing me to feel a bit of guilt.

Y/N: "How come you want to sleep in the bedroom? I thought you outgrew that."

She walks closer to me with puppy eyes staring at me.

I stare at her for a couple of seconds before I look down and sigh in defeat.

Well, when she was a fennekin she would always sleep on the end of my bed.

Now that she's in her 2nd evolution she doesn't really sleep in the bedroom anymore.

Y/N: "Alright. Guess its been a while, hasn't it?"

She immediately gives me a big smile as she speaks up.

Braixen: "Braixen~!"

I couldn't help but smile back at her adorableness.

She really isn't something that I would want to lose.

Y/N: "Heh."

I walk upstairs and signal braixen to follow up with me.

Once we were upstairs we both walked in.

A tired yawn leaves my body as I flop on the bed.

Y/N: "Alright. Get in-" I immediately pause as a sudden weight pounces onto me.

A wheeze escapes my mouth as braixen hugs me tightly.

Y/N: "Jeez, what's gotten into you?" I say as I couldn't help but smile..

She gently lays her head on my chest as she hugs my upper torso.

This feels so... comfortable..

Y/N: "Good night, braixen." I say as I close my eyes.

Her soft quiet breathing fills the room as her warm hug comforts me.

I can feel my face heat up a little when I look at her sleep.

There's something about her, that I just...

..N-Nevermind.

I give out one last yawn as I lay my hand on braixen's head, falling asleep.
