Chapter Thirteen

Y/N's POV:

Drained tears stain onto my cheeks as I sat on the bench.

The silent atmosphere and the sounds of wind twirls through the air, giving me chills down my spine.

I watch my hands shake slightly as I cant believe the things that happened today.

Y/N: "..She's gone.." I say sadly.

It was too late.. she died before they could even reach to the hospital..

She was a close friend of mine..

F/N killed her.. I'll never forgive him for this. He's in prison now..

Who can I turn to now?

...

A sudden warmth rises next to me that catches my attention.

I turn my head to see braixen looking at me with a smile.

She snuggles her soft head against my neck in affection.

Y/N: "You've always been there for me, braixen. Even in the darkest days.."

She lays her paw on my hand as her piercing red eyes stare into mine.

My face gets a little heated from this as she inches closer to me.

A crimson shade of blush rises on her cheeks as she smiles a little wider.

Her behavior is so off.. is it normal for a pokemon to be acting this way?

I lift up my hand and pet her on the head gently.

Y/N: "Its.. getting late braixen. Its best if we head on home."

She nods in agreement as we both get up.

Today wasn't a good day at all, I just want to go home.

???: "AAAAHA!"

A sudden loud screech causes both of us to jump in fear.

Y/N: "What the hell was that!?" I yell.

It sounded like someone.. or something in pain.

Y/N: "Braixen, we need to see what that was!"

I grab onto braixen's paw and I start running to the nearby forest.

Before I turn my head around I swear I saw a quick sight of her blushing.

[Time Skip]

Minutes later, we finally reached in the middle of the forest.

I look above to see the sky slowly turning dark.

Y/N: "What was that noise?" I ask concernedly.

Sounds of sniffling and whimpering is heard across from us.

I turn to braixen and put a finger on my lips, signaling her to stay quiet.

She nods her head in understanding.

We both slowly walk towards a bush and I quietly push it aside.

...Wait a minute, is that?

In front of us is a crying lopunny on the ground..

Stained blood appears on her arm as she silently sobs.

Oh no.. what happened to her? I need to help..

I slowly walk towards the lopunny as carefully as I can.

Since she's already hurt.. braixen doesn't have to fight her..

I can just capture her with a pokeball and-

*CRUNCH*

And of course.. I step on a branch, causing a loud noise.

The lopunny quickly looks up at us, alerted.

Y/N: "Hey-"

She jumps up from the ground and gets in a fighting position.

Y/N: "No no no! We dont want to fight you.."

Her face still says the same as she stares us down.

Y/N: "You're hurt.. I can help you. Just trust me." I reassure her.

She looks at me with a bit of a doubtful look.

We stay silent for a couple seconds.

Surprisingly, she cooperates with me. She takes one step closer to me.

I take out an empty pokeball I found earlier and I face it towards her.

Y/N: "Dont worry, I'll take care of you." I say with a smile.

She looks away and nods her head.

A bright light glows for a matter of seconds.

I look at my pokeball to see it glow once, meaning that she's captured.

Y/N: "Wow.."

I turn around to braixen to see her looking away with a concerned look.

Y/N: "Come on braixen.. we should head on home now."

Braixen stares at me for a couple seconds until she nods her head.

Braixen: "B-Braixen.."

Both of us start walking out of the forest as night soon starts to fall.

Hopefully lopunny will start to trust me. I'll help her.

..But will braixen and her get along?
