Chapter Seven

Y/N's POV:

Finally after the long day at the park, we reached home.

The sun slowly goes down as night starts to form in the sky.

I hold onto the knob and open the door.

The house was just like how it was left.

Y/N: "Today was great." I say as I close the door behind me.

Braixen nods her head in agreement as she smiles warmly.

Y/N: "Glad to see you think so too."

She takes a step closer to me and nuzzles her head on my shoulder.

For some reason, my face gets a little heated at this.

Y/N: "H-Heh." I laugh a little.

I can feel braixen inch a little closer to me even more.

The warmth of her fur heats onto me as I stand there flustered.

She's... a-acting so strange, but yet..

A sound of vibration interrupts the moment, causing her to separate a bit.

Y/N: "Hm?"

I grab my phone out of my pocket to see who its from.

Y/N: "Its Cindy. Wonder what she wants?"

I walk into the living room and plop onto the couch.

Y/N: "Now lets see here.." I tap on the message.

Cindy: "Hi Y/N! I forgot to tell you. Its my birthday next week, and I was hoping if you can come?"

Her birthday is coming up? Oh wow, that's nice to hear.

I reply back with:

"I'd be happy too!"

She soon replies back with a thumbs up emoji.

A smile grows onto my face.

Y/N: "Wonder what should I get her?" I ask myself.

I look over to see braixen looking over to the window, sitting on a sofa.

Wonder why she looks outside so much?

...

A sudden urge slowly builds up inside me.

I get up from the couch and place my phone on the table.

Y/N: "I'll be right back, I need to go use the restroom."

She turns her head around nods.

I walk upstairs, leaving braixen downstairs by herself.

Braixen's POV:

I sit on the sofa, staring out through the window.

The tall green trees stand in the distance as the dark blue sky fades into black.

Hm.

I snap out of my thoughts as Y/N speaks up.

Y/N: "I'll be right back, I need to go use the restroom." He says.

I nod my head at him in understanding.

He walks upstairs as his footstep sounds soon begin to fade.

Now its just me.

My eyes hover to the table for a couple seconds, then back to the window.

..Wait..

I look back at the table and realize that he left his phone.

Braixen: "Hm.."

Cindy messaged him a while ago.

What could she even want at this hour?

Curiosity takes over me as I walk over to the table.

I pick up his phone and turn it on.

The screen shows the messages Y/N and Cindy had together.

I read the most recent conversation.

...

So, her birthday is coming up? And of course, hes invited.

I scroll up to see all the messages they had.

My heart beats faster as I couldn't help but feel anger build up inside me.

She really DOES have feelings for him, doesn't she?

Why does she message him so much?

She hugged him today. 

She kissed him today.

And to top it all off, she wants to him to come to her birthday party.

I stare at the phone in hatred.

My paws shake.

..I..

...I wont let her do this.

I wont let her take HIM away from me.

He's the only one I truly have in my life, and I cant let him fall in love with her.

If he does, then i'll be alone.

I place the phone down onto the table in the exact position.

Perhaps.... I can find a way to do something.

A smirk slightly grows onto my face.

The sudden sounds of footsteps are heard nearby. I quickly run back to the sofa.

Y/N: *Yawn* "Welp, I'm getting tired. I think i'm gonna head off to bed."

He takes his phone and shoves it into his pocket.

Y/N: "See you in the morning, braixen."

He reaches for his pokeball on the shelf and faces it towards me.

Every night he usually captures me inside his pokeball, and releases me in the morning.

But this time, I want to stay out.

Braixen: "Braixen.." I call out to him before he captures me.

Y/N: "..What is it?" He asks me.
