Chapter Nine

Braixen's POV:

Sunlight shines throughout the room as I slowly awaken.

A soft yawn exits my mouth before I gently get up, hoping not to wake up Y/N.

That was a great sleep with him~

I stretch to get the tiredness out of my body.

Hm, guess hes not awake yet? I turn around to see him still sleeping on the bed.

His snores fill the room as I watch him sleep.

..Its not weird, right? I'm sure hes fine with it.

...

He looks so.. cute when he sleeps.

I wonder what hes dreaming about?

Maybe.. hes dreaming about him and I together.

Just Y/N and I..

Nobody else.. especially not cindy.

He shouldn't think about her anyway..

What's so good about her? I bet she hasn't known him as long as I have.

That's what makes me special to him.

Her birthday is coming up next week, right? 

So I just need to find a way to stop her from getting any closer to Y/N.

Even if it means I have to kill her.

But for now, I should cook up a plan.

...and cook up a breakfast for Y/N.

I take one last look at Y/N, then exit the room and walk downstairs.

I've seen him cook food in the kitchen before, so I think I can impress him.

After all, I am his best partner~...

Y/N's POV:

...

My eyes flutter open to the bright light shining through the window.

Tiredness fills my mind as I lift my head up.

Y/N: *Yawn* "That sure was a nice sle-" I pause in the middle of my own sentence.

Wait.. wheres braixen? did she leave?

Y/N: "Um.."

Confusion flies through my head for a couple seconds until I sniff a smell..

What's that smell? Usually I don't smell this when I wake up.

I get up from my bed and walk downstairs.

Guess braixen woke up early? wonder where she went off too-

HUH!?

I mentally gasp in surprise as I watch what's in front of me.

Braixen cooks breakfast in the kitchen, giving off a great smell.

I stand there puzzled as I look at her.

Y/N: "Braixen?" I call out to her.

She turns her head around to look at me.

Y/N: "Braixen, how could you be able to cook like this?"

She immediately smiles at my amazement.

Braixen is truly my best friend, but this is incredible.

She walks towards the table and places a plate of two pancakes.

Syrup is drizzled onto them in a shape of.... a heart?

For some reason this makes my face heat up.

Y/N: "..Thank you braixen. I really appreciate this." I say as I pet her on the cheek.

She gives me a heartwarming smile as places her paw on my hand.

Its soft..

We soon let go of each other. I walk to the table and sit down on a chair.

I pick up my fork and take a bite of the pancake.

..This is incredibly good.

It taste so sweet!

How did she learn how to cook like this?

Y/N: "Jeez, you might be a better cook than me." I say jokingly.

She giggles.

Oh! I completely forgot.

Cindys birthday is next week. I should go get her a gift today.

But what would she want?
