One month before the collapse.

When you talk, you're only repeating what you already know, but when you listen, you might learn something new.

Instead of judging people, listen to them. Everyone have a version of the story. Everyone see things in their own way, no one see things in third person.

So, Louis decided to listen. More particularly, listen to Harry. Somehow he couldn't get over the fact that he killed a guy. Which was really weird, since that was what they did. But he never saw him actually doing it, he just couldn't picture him pulling the trigger.

Much less beating someone to death.

"H? Is that you?" He whispered.

"L?" Okay Louis, it's him, now or never. Louis sat in the stairs outside the house next to Harry, remaining in silence for a few minutes.

"This meetings are becoming a thing." Harry chuckled. That was true, they always met in the middle of the night, Louis, because he smoked, Harry, for unknown reasons.

He was a weird guy.

"Can I uh...can I ask you something?" Louis asked, the words came out of his mouth before he even decided if it was a good idea or not.

"Sure." Harry shrugged.

"Who was he?"

Harry froze. Louis didn't look, but he could feel it. He could feel how he tensed up, his breath stopping, his eyes becoming dark

"Why are you so interested, uh?" Harry asked. Which. rude.

"I wanna know," Was all Louis said. "Can you tell me?"

At first, Louis thought he wasn't going to answer, but then he let out a breath and started, much to Louis' surprise. "He uh... he was a friend of my family, me and my sister always played with his kids. Then one day he uhm..." he cleared his throat, and if Louis would actually care, he would've take his hand. But he didn't care. At all.

"I was 11, he— I was at home, he was there because we were supposed to have dinner but my parent weren't there yet. He uh..."

"It's okay, H," Louis said.

"I guess you could say he... took advantage of me?"

Wow. That was- woah. Louis certainly did not expect something like that.

"Oh."

"Yeah, well anyway," Harry shifted in his seat. "After that he kept coming over at our house, then I left and never saw him again. But the other day he was just there enjoying his life and I— I don't know."

Wow.

"I— I don't— I'm sorry?" Louis spoke. He guessed he was sorry.

"Yeah uhm...thanks."

"Sorry, if I blamed you." Louis apologized, and you better sing this sign this on your calendar because he won't do that again. "I just though— I thought he was innocent."

Then he felt like he needed to add something. "I'm really sorry H, you didn't deserve it." He said genuinely. He meant it. Harry just smiled sadly at him, and for a moment Louis contemplated hugging him, but decided against it.

They weren't that close.

They stayed there in silence, and then. "What about your mum?"

And. Of course.

"What about my mum?"

"I heard you and Li talking about it and— one time I walked on you and you were crying so I thought— I don't know."
