"What's in it?" The door of the chocolate bar hasn't even fallen shut yet and her curiosity is already taking over. Her eyes are glued to the paper bag in my hand and she takes a step closer in an attempt to peek inside.

"It's still a surprise." I swiftly snatch the bag away from her by passing it to my other hand.

It's not really a surprise, or at least it wasn't supposed to be. At first, I was going to tell her everything but then she let her curiosity rule over her words, and the moment she revealed that part of herself I couldn't resist taunting her a bit.

Her curiosity is adorable, yet the slightly irritated version of her curiosity is more than fucking adorable.

"Now you're just mocking me by not telling me." She crosses her arms and I can feel her irises lasering me through her narrowed eyes.

"Maybe." Absolutely.

"Fine," she huffs, "I don't even want to know."

Such a bad liar.

"Okay." I shrug holding back the accomplished smirk tugging at the corner of my mouth.

"Okay." She mimics me, tilting her chin in the air pretending her curiosity isn't bothering her.

A couple of seconds pass. Her eyes are glued on the road before us, and mine are attached to her. Another couple of seconds pass. I drag my gaze away from her and wait for her curiosity to snap her out of her indifferent expression. She glances my way and I have to push down the smug smile wanting to cover my mouth because of her showing the first crack in her act. Not even 2 minutes have passed when she spins towards me.

"Are they donuts?" I let out the laughter that was tickling my throat as she desperately asks away. "Cupcakes? Cookies?" She nibbles on her lip and her arms shoot up triumphally. "Oh, brownies!"

"Yes."

"Really?!" Her eyes go wide with excitement.

She likes brownies. Noted.

"No." Her enthusiastic expression immediately falters, switching back to the glare she was giving me mere minutes ago.

"Are you going to drive me to the point where I have to tackle you?" Somehow I don't think this is just a threat. She looks like someone who could have secret ninja skills up her sleeve and who's ready to pull them out when necessary. Although, if she thinks she scared me away by throwing the threat in my face, she couldn't be more wrong. I'm ready to push all her buttons and risk having a close meeting with the ground just to see her try.

"How close am I?"

"Close." She sneers, no doubt warning me not to push further. So evidently, I taunt her a little more.
