Marriage

Arrange marriage

This all kept me disturbed all the time. Even when I was at the club with Emma and Nathan, it kept ringing in my ears. More than the loud music these thoughts were running in my mind. I was going to get married to a man who didn't love me, I didn't love him. Hell, we didn't even know each other.

So, I decided to drink and let loose maybe it will help because it was disturbing and unsettling for me. I needed to forget all this before I lose my sanity.

"One Margarita," I told the bartender and stared at my friends who were on the dance floor enjoying their life.  I hope they get all the happiness even when I can't. All my life I had wished for my prince charming who will come into my life, and everything will change, we would fall in love, get married and have kids and live a happy life. But now this seems impossible. And it looks foolish.

I know I have planned to ask for a few months before the wedding, but I have a gut feeling that this won't happen, and I would have to marry him as soon as possible. This was a marriage deal, not any love marriage and our happiness doesn't matter. This was my harsh reality, and I don't think it will get any better.

I tried to drink down my sadness but couldn't drink more than one drink. This was so uncomfortable for me to sit in this club, I was never a fan of loud clubs, and it wasn't helping now too. I tried to search for Emma or Nathan but they both had disappeared, so I decided to leave the club without them. They have no reason to go back early.

The whole night I was wide awake and did a lot of office work. I get with the pending files for a week and still couldn't sleep. Finally, at five in the morning, I decided to go for a walk. I put on my tracksuit and put my hair into a high ponytail before going for walk. Loud music blasted through my ears, and I jogged down the track.

I walked out of the house and towards the streets. The sun was rising spreading little light, cool morning breeze hitting my face calming my nerves. It was late November, so it was chilly outside, but I ignored all the cold and continued to walk.  I started my walk with a frown but soon it turned into a smile and then I continued it for don't know how long. When a few cars crossed me, I understood it was time to go back. I checked the time, and it was already 7 in the morning.

I walked back home, and everyone was awake. Gardner was working in the garden while someone was watering the plants. Our chauffeur was cleaning our cars which we would be using today. A house help was cleaning the front patio. I walked past them all into the house. Papa called me when I was climbing up the stairs.

"Ava" his voice stopped me from climbing further and I turned around planting a smile on my face. He didn't deserve my anger or madness because no matter how much I hate this situation I love him.

"Yes papa"

"Today Adrian would come with the contract papers, so I am telling you beforehand just sign the papers and let it go"

"Fine" I rolled my eyes and went upstairs to my room. I went for a bath before getting ready. I prepared a warm bath for myself and put on a strawberry face mask _ my favorite. I sat there for a long time and when the water began to cool down, I got off and wrapped a towel around me. I checked the time, and it was half past eight. I selected a dress for the day and got ready. Then drove off to the office. My mood was not so good, and I lashed at the guard at the main door for being lazy when he was not.

"Ava what was that"
Emma barged into my office with a scowl on her face, but my mood was even more bitter. Everything annoyed me at the moment, even the walk I had earlier was of no use. I was still in a foul mood.
