🌸 CHAPTER 24 🌸

"Adrian I need your plane"
I asked my dear husband on the phone. Today when I came office I came to know I had to go to Miami to check the work also there is some problem which needed my attention. And I couldn't find flight to Miami at the last minute so I called him for his plane.

"You don't need to ask but where are you going"
His voice reached me clear and confident. He must be working while his phone on speaker because I could hear him working on his laptop. After the break we had a lot of work and barely see each other.

"Yeah I have to visit my hotel in Miami and I need to go there tonight"

"You are going to Miami"

"Yeah I am and if you want and are free you could join me"
I too put my phone on speaker and began to see the file which I needed to sign. I heard him sigh loudly and then the fast voice of his keys being pushed reached me.

"No I have a lot of work to do I can't join you"

"It's ok. We will go to lunch before I go"

"No I am not free"

"I know but we can't risk our health. I will come to your office and we will go to restaurant together"
I told him in a final tone and he huffed an 'ok'. After that he cut the call and I done the file. I signed it and pushed to the side. I had a meeting within five minutes so I stood up and made my way to conference room. I knocked on the door and walked in.

I stepped out of the plane and Miami welcomed me with it's star filled night sky and cool breeze. The atmosphere was calm and a smile made it's way on my lips. Climbing down the stairs I sat in the sleek black car waiting for me. The driver drove me to a hotel where I would be staying the night. This was the same hotel where I spent my time before my wedding.

A week before my wedding.

I still remember how much I hated him and he hated me. No I think it wasn't hate. Hate is a strong word. Maybe I disliked him and never wanted to marry someone without love. I had planned it like any normal girl. Falling in love with a guy, getting married, starting a family and then getting old together.

But life had other plans for me and I think these plans were better than my plans. Life gave me an arrogant egoistic cold selfish man but made me look through that facade and showed me a softie, cuddle bear.

My phone rang bringing me out of my thoughts. I smiled as I saw Adrian's picture along with incoming caller details. I immediately picked it up and his voice reached me.
"Hello my dear wife I hope you reached safe"

"Yes my dear husband I have landed safe and sound"
I replied and grinned like a madwoman. I heart his throat chuckle and I went dizzy.

"You know I am missing you and I don't know how I will be spending this time without you"
I could feel him making a pout which I think only I had seen because he always stay stiff and rigid in front of world. He didn't even open up in front of Mr and Mrs Anderson

"I could imagine it because I am missing you too"
I played with the hem of my shirt and stared out of window watching buildings passing around me. 

We talked all the way to my hotel and we even didn't stop while I went to room, took bath and get into bed. I had put my phone on speaker and he may had too put it on speaker.
"I need to go to sleep"
I yawned but didn't make any effort to cut the call.
