Bethany

Leaning against the tree I’m going through my camera to see all of the pictures I have taken today. I got a lot of pretty nature pictures, but for some unknown reason I also took a lot of pictures of Chase today. He didn’t even notice I had taken them.

A small voice in my head begs to differ.

No he probably wouldn’t be here with me still if he had known I had taken a butt load of pictures of him.

I’m still trying to reason with myself why I took them.

Sweetheart you know why you took the pictures. You know he’s really hot!

A sigh escapes from my lips. He may be hot, but he is also really funny and really nice.

We ended up getting to know each other a lot today. I would totally date him if only he wasn’t out of my league.

Right now we are in a meadow. I’m leaning against a really pretty maple tree while Chase is lying down in the grass a couple of feet away from me. I must have worn him out with all the walking we have done today.

We had decided to just explore while everyone else had stayed back at the camp and when we had left this morning Hope, Aseel, and Joey were all playing some card game.

            Bing!

I grab my cell phone from my pocket and see that my grandpa Trent sent me a message.

Hey Sweetheart, Just wanted to check up on you girls. Your grandma and I decided to stay until you girl’s head home in case something happens again. Oh and grandma was wondering if you all wanted to go out on the boat with us tomorrow? Love you, Grandpa Trent

A small smile spread across my lips. I love going out on our grandparents boat. The water is always to calm and relaxing. Plus I love tubing and I know we will be able to tube if we go with them tomorrow.

            I quickly respond.

I’ll ask everyone once we get back to the campsite, but I would love too! It sounds like a lot of fun.

            “Who are you texting?”

“Ahhh.” I scream, but I quickly cover my mouth once I realize its Chase that is talking to me.

I hear him chuckle at my behavior.

“It’s not funny.” I scowl at him.

He just shakes his head and start laughing harder.

I narrow my eyes at him. “Fine then. Whatever.” I say pretending to be mad. I mean it was kind of funny so I see why he is laughing. Standing up I start walking back towards the camp, but as I go I stomp my feet on the ground.

I don’t even take five steps before I hear Chase stop laughing.

“Wait I’m sorry I didn’t mean to laugh at you. Your just too cute though.”
