Bethany
The last thing I remember is falling asleep, but I don't know how I ended up here. This place doesn't look real I'm standing in a middle of a meadow, but as I look up the sky isn't the normal blue sky I'm used to. The sky is multicolored and stars are all really close and it's mesmerizing.
"Hello? Is anyone out there?" I call out. I turn around and the meadow is surrounded by forest in all directions.
I hear a soft chuckle and turn to see a beautiful women standing there. She has long honey colored hair. The woman is wearing a long white dress and she looks like she is glowing.
"Hello sweetheart how are you doing?" As she speaks it almost sounds like she is singing.
"Where am I?" I ask.
She smiles as she looks around us. "This is where I live."
"You live here? Where are we?"
"Yes I live here. The other question is a little harder to explain. This isn't an actual place that you can locate and it can change to what ever I want it to be."
Wait WHAT? My jaw drops at this news. How is that even possible?
"I guess I should have started with who I am. I'm The Moon Goddess."
I've heard that name before. Grandpa told me about her. He said she is the one the looks over the wolves and that she created the werewolves hundreds of years ago. Grandpa told me that no one had talked with her for many generations so how is she talking to me? I'm not even a werewolf.
"But I'm not a werewolf how can I be talking to you?"
"Well the reason we are able to talk is because you are my daughter."
No. That's no possible I can't be her daughter my mom died when I was younger.
What she just said is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.
"I can see that you don't believe me and that's alright this won't be are only conversation. I just want you to know that I'm here for you and trust yourself to make the right decision."
"Wait." Before I could continue the women was already gone. Slowly I begin to be pulled into darkness.
I jerk to a sitting position. Glancing around I realize I'm still in the tree house with Chase. He is still fast a sleep.
Quickly I try to get out of his arms so I don't wake him. Stretching I look out the window and see the sun is starting to come up. Looking out I see the tops of all the trees.
Suddenly my dream comes rushing to my mind and everything just confuses me more.
Is she my mother? I thought my mom was dead.
Why would she leave me here without her?
Tears slowly start to fall down my face. My mother doesn't want me why else would she leave me?
I hear ruffling and turn to see Chase moving around in his sleep. He also made me really confused.
How should I take him calling me his mate? Plus he kind of scared me when his eyes flashed black after I joked about him killing me.
A walk would help clear up my thoughts. I quickly climb down the ladder and I make it down to the ground in no time.
I decide to follow the small path that continues through the forest. The farther I walk into the forest the more plant life there is. Beautiful flower trees and bushes are spread out along the forest.
Unfortunately the forest reminds me of my dream I had of the goddess that claims to be my mother. She could very possible be my mother, but I wouldn't know my dad never really talks about my mother very often.
Dad has mentioned in the past that I look a lot like my mom and that I remind him of her. He never really tells me much more than that. I know it's hard for him to talk about, but he should tell me everything he knew about her.
I remember growing up and daydreaming what my mother would look like and how she would act like my mother.
After a couple of minutes I come to a small tree that has a grassy patch under it so I decided to sit lean against the tree.
As I sit under the tree I just think about what my dream could mean. There is the chance it was just a dream and it has no meaning at all.
"Bethany? Hey are you alright?"
Startled I look up to see Chase watching me with a curious gaze.
"Huh. Oh yeah I'm fine. Wait how did you find me?" I scrunch my eyebrows together.
He just chuckles and walks over to me and sits down in front of me. "I followed your sent here. Remember I have a better sense of smell than a human."
"Oh my gosh. That's right I forgot about that."
"You didn't answer my question with your true response did you?"
A blush rushes to my cheeks as I realize he knows there is more on my mind. "It's nothing. Just a weird dream I had." I try to brush it off but Chase doesn't.
"So what was your dream about?"
I look into his blue eye and see curiosity and a hint of concern in them. "My dream was about my mom. I just don't really want to talk about it though because I'm still trying to process the dream."
We just sit in silence for a couple of minutes before I remember our last conversation.
"So are you going to tell me about mates?"
Hey everyone,
I'm sorry it's been such a long time. I have been having some trouble with how this story should go. I believe I know how I want it to go, but I'm always open for other ideas. Thank you to everyone that is reading my book. Again I'm sorry.
