"So, how did your date go?" Finn said, eyeing their mother. Catra rolled her eyes. Questions, questions, questions.

She couldn't tell them a lot of what happened, so she decided on, " good. Great, actually. You might have yourself a new momma!" She joked, it was funny and Finn seemed to be bursting at the seams from it.

"Ew, my mom being the principal? I would get bullied." They said, scooping some cereal out of their bowl and eating. Catra scoffed, " What? No. It would stop bullying."

Finn shook their head and explained. " No, mom. Kids don't bully like they did in the old days, or whenever you were born, they bully in secret."

What the hell?

"Finn, I love you with all my heart. But, if you ever say I'm old again, I'm kicking your ass."

They laughed harder than they did before, milk coming from their nose. Catra huffed, and got some paper towels for them. She was never going to get over how old they were getting.

She wiped their nose and sat back down, leaning back and crossing her arms. " What did you do last night, baby?" Finn sniffled.

Then suddenly they said,"Mom, I'm a teenager! I don't think you should call me baby names anymore."

"What? But you're my baby." Catra said, not knowing where this was going.

Finn sighed. This was not happening. They continued to talk. " I talked to my friends last night and they said it was weird for me to sleep in your bed, and for you to kiss me, and—"

Catra reached over and pulled them into a hug, this is what she feared. She gave them space, and now Finn wanted to leave her. Nope.

" That's okay, Finn. Everyone is different. There's not one way to love your parents, but if you really hate it I'll stop. I'm serious."

The younger magicat hugged her back and she squeezed them. "I like it. I'm just embarrassed. They said they stopped calling their mom's mommy when they were like 3! I could never!" Catra chuckled and pet their head, it was way too early for this, she could feel her eyes stinging with unwanted tears.

"You don't have to. You know what? Tell them you stopped, then we can have this all to ourselves, okay?" She said, pulling back from the hug and seeing her child's eyes brimmed red from holding back tears. Oh, Stars.

She wanted to fight whoever said that to her baby. And that was why they started calling her "mom" all of a sudden.

They nodded and Catra patted them on the shoulder. Putting that far too emotional moment, for a Saturday morning, to an end.

" Want some waffles? We can go to IHOP?" She asked heading to her room to get dressed, they always said yes to ihop. "Uh, yeah!"

Her and Adora had been dating for two months, and it was pretty great. Adora was a perfect woman, who treated her well, but she was hesitant to make the connection between her and Finn. In all honesty, Catra was scared. Her birthday was approaching in a week, and Adora had been sending her tiny gifts leading up to it.

She called it, " 28 to 28". Which made absolutely no sense because she was turning 33, but Adora explained it to her.

"No! It's 28 because your birthday is on the 28th. Not because you're turning 28!"

"Why not just do '33 to 33'?"

Adora's face dropped, and her brow furrowed. Then she whispered, "Damn it."
