A month passed by in a flash, and suddenly all the leaves were dead and people started to layer their clothes. All the drama from Kourtney and the mom trio died down. Actually, from what it seemed like, the president of the PTO, found a girlfriend. So, everything worked out just fine.

It was the last day before Winter Break started, and Catra was pumped, to say the least. Adora was fully moved in at this point, all house details were squared away and Catra talked to her Landlord about it. She was a woman in her early 50s who seemed to be annoying and caring at the same time.

"So, Castaspella, I came in to talk to you about my girlfriend moving in? She would obviously be paying rent and—"

She interrupted Catra, putting a finger to her lips. "Girlfriend! Well, just for you sweet cheeks, she can move in. From one lesbian to another." She said, winking and patting her on the shoulder.

"Now, leave. I have a sweater to make in time for my niece's birthday. She's a Sagittarius and you know how they are... wait what is your zodiac sign?" She asked, raising a black eyebrow.

"Scorpio." She answered, unsure what she would do with the information.

"Yep! Scorpio's always know their signs. And what's your girlfriend's?" She asked, digging through her drawer and producing two crochet needles.

"Uh, Capricorn?"

"Hmm, okay. And what about that kid of yours?" She looked through her drawer again and pulled out a giant spool of yarn.

"Aries."

Castaspella looked up and smiled widely. "Aw, your signs all fit well in your little family. Ok, now go. I have to finish this, Glimmer deserves the best!"

"Wait, Glimmer? Glimmer Moon—oh." She asked, this was so crazy.

"Yes! You know my niece?" Her eyes lit up and she set her materials down. Catra nodded at the question, her tail picking up a pace behind her. "Yeah, she's my friend."

Castaspella grinned and squeezed Catra's shoulder. "That's great. Please tell her to come visit the next time you see her. She's bad at that."

"Sure will. And thank you so much." Catra thanked her. Casta waved her off. "Oh, don't worry about it. Just make your family happy, ok? And pay your rent on time." Her face went serious at the end and she pointed a needle at her.

"Yes, thank you."

Adora moved in the next week and Finn was ecstatic, showing her around the apartment as if she didn't halfway live there already. It was perfect.

And now they were leaving the apartment. Quite ironic, but they were on break, she definitely needed one. The family of three hopped in the car and took a trip to Bright Moon; the city.

It was only a 4 hour drive from their little town, so it just seemed perfect. Sure, Thaymor was great, but it was boring and not an ideal place for vacation.

Catra felt her long hair fly through the wind as Adora sped down the highway. She dropped the top of her convertible, the cool winter air biting at the magicat's skin.

The great thing about Bright Moon was that it stayed the same weather year round. Maybe it had something to do with a climate crisis or something, but that wasn't on Catra's mind. She had her mind on break. On spending time sleeping and resting.

"So, what are we doing first when we get there?" Finn asked, popping in between the front seats, looking from Catra to Adora. Adora smiled and glanced at them, " well, I was thinking of going to the beach first or, we can go to the winter fair—that's a thing they do here. It's like the Halloween fair in Thaymor, but with more budget."
