"You are a SURVIVOR''
What the hell? We're in a killing game? This is insane. I didn't sign up for this shit! Who would do this to us? I look over at Scarlett, the only person who's name I found out since I've woken up, and she is in shock.
"Okay, listen up, everybody!" A man with spiky black hair shouts. "Is anybody here an artist?" Both a man with a grey jacket and a woman with fishnet stockings raise their hand. Coincidentially, they both have brown hair.
The woman says ''Well, I'm more of a painter than an artist, but you get it." The man walks up to them with determination.
"With so many of us, it will be very hard for us to remember eachother's names. So everybody get into a line. One by one introduce yourself to me, and these two will draw you, not that detailed, but enough that we know it's you, and write your name next to it. I found a lot of drawing and writing material here, and a whole bunch of large paper, so we should have enough for all of us. I'll go first. I'm Austin. Also, what are you two's names?"
We all get into a line, and even though I try to get behind a man with similar clothes to Austin, a girl with red buns pushes me aside. I end up behind a boy with an orange plaid jacket. I listen to some people talking ahead of us.
"Liza..." "Howdy, I'm Annie." "Oh, I-i'm Ezra." "Halona to you!" I don't really care to listen to most of it, until the voices eventually get closer. Soon enough the boy in front of me speaks.
"Hello, Austin, my name is Matt." Matt shakes hands with Austin and walks to the side, and I walk forward to greet Austin. I see that the two artists have drawn a lot of people. I notice their pictures of themselves, named ''Mateo'' and ''Veronica". I begin to speak with confidence.
"I'm Sabrina." I feel relief that my introduction is done with Austin, and as Mateo begins sketching me, I look at other pictures. I see a girl I noticed on my floor earlier, with ''Regan'' on the picture. The girl who shoved me is ''Bailey'', and somebody else who was looking at me threateningly when I had come down into the lobby is named ''Reza''.
A whole lot of people are here, and as I hear another voice introducing themself as Elaina, I notice that the picture of ''Mikah'' has the genderfluid flag painted below the name. Ooh, so Mikah is genderfluid? Cool. None of my friends are non-binary or agender or anything other than cis males or females, so it's nice to see some gender diversity. I then see Veronica quickly drawing lines of yellow, black, white and purple below Elaina's name, and grin. So many cool people.
I look across other names. Minji, Moire, Trey, Carlos, Mike, Ash, Evaline, Anna, and the list goes on and on. As I see Mateo writing ''Adora'', I turn away to talk to somebody. I really want to talk to Mikah. Finally I see them with Ezra and go over to them.
''Hey Mikah! I mind if I join you two? I just felt like hanging out with you because it's really cool that you're genderfluid." Ezra looks a bit taken aback that I'm ignoring them, but I sit anyways. Not like I'm into Mikah, as I just met them, but Mikah responds.
"Thanks! My pal Ezra is quite shy, so I hope you're okay with that. So, how's life, ummmm..." They get up and run over to the wall to see my name, and come back for us. ''How are you doing, Sabrina?"
''Oh, fine. I met this nice girl named Scarlett. I see she's still in that line, she's the one with the bright orange hair. So, what about you, Ezra?" Ezra seems to be quite the meek induvidual, and they just sit down shyly. Mikah chuckles and turns to me.
"Yep, they don't like new people. Well, what now? Perhaps we should meet some others?" I nod and the three of us walk away. I notice Scarlett, and decide to approach her. I hear laughing, and I turn to see Mary and Liza dancing, their arms interlocking. I go over to them while the other two greet Scarlett.
"What are you two doing over here? Seems fun." I smile warmly at them. They both look at me, and Liza speaks.
"Oh, well, we're just chillin' for no reason. We talked to eachother, and she's pretty nice." She narrows her eyes at me. "Also, WE ARE NOT TWINS. We're just friends, and if you accuse us of being such a role, I will never forgive you." She then turns to Mary, who seems to be whimpering in fear. ''Don't worry, nothing bad will happen to you. I'll make sure of it.''
I walk away and join the other three. Scarlett and Mikah are cracking jokes to each other, and Ezra is beginning to show a smile. I'm happy I introduced Mikah to Scarlett. I look around at all the others and see an interesting scene unfold.
''Why don't you go fuck off Viola? You're a useless bitch whose mother-'' Kim-ly is arguing with Viola. I'm not sure why, but they seem to despise each other. Viola talks back. ''You slut! You ruined my life with your fucking comics! Oooh, you're so clever! WELL GUESS WHAT BITCH, YOU AREN'T!" Kim-ly calmly smirks. ''It's called a fucking graphic novel you actual piece of shi-" Dan intervenes.
''Ladies! Ladies! Let's not argue, we don't want conflict so early into this game, after all!" A man with spiky brown hair, freckles and glasses scoffs. I recognize him as Jacob. ''I bet he's a simp.'' He mutters under his breath. I can't help but agree with the lad, but anyways, aren't there even bigger problems at hand? I mean, we still have a murderer!
Christy looks like she wants to say something, but suddenly the lights begin flickering. Oh shit. It's happening. My room is on the second hallway floor, and I quickly dash upstairs. I notice other people clinging onto others out of fear, and I have no idea how this is going to end up.
One of us will die tonight...
*Murderer's POV*
So this is it, huh. Guess I gotta kill. I've always studied self defense, and I really want to use it right now. But it all depends on if this victim is actually going to put up a fight. I never liked this person just because of the clothes they wore. Even though I don't know this person, their clothes disgust me. I know that sounds like a terrible motive for what I am about to do, but that's that.
As I'm thinking my attack plan over, I suddenly notice the one who's life I am planning on taking. They seem to be looking for somebody they care about. Shame they won't find them. I quickly stab them in the gut, causing them to scream. They realize that the murderer is coming for them, and they lunge to attack me, but I dodge, causing them to fall onto the floor.
Before they can move or attempt to get up, I get on top of their back, and before they can struggle even more or call for any help, I thrust the knife into the back of their neck, bringing a painful end to their pitiful existence. I'm glad that's done. It was tiring waiting for this.
But I don't have any problems for now. Unless I'm super unlucky, I doubt the psychic is suspicious of me so early. I then tear off the article of clothing that I hate so much, and with my knife, tear it to shreds. I quickly go to the washroom, which is not occupied, and wash off all this blood. I think this will be a good start to my journey.
I can even see other people whispering to each other from where I'm standing, unaware of what just happened. I can't wait to see how this loss affects the one that my victim cared for. I tiptoe away, and slip into my room as I hear the crying of the other people in my hall. This is so fun.
