Chapter 2: Danielle

Okay i swear this is not biased it just keeps giving me classic characters

The lights have returned to save us from this great tragedy. I'm just happy I didn't become the first victim. I don't slowly crawl out of my room like some of the others. Dill, who is also fast awake, and I speed down the stairs, being joined by Prasiddhi on the way. Who died? The tension is killing me at this point. My legs are sore from going down so many flights of stairs, but I don't care. I must know. I hope cool people I've met, such as Odette, are still with us. I finally reach the lobby, but once I see it, I wish I stayed in my room.

I saw yellow pieces of fabric scattered across the floor. Indah was crying, Jacob was curled up into a ball, Arielle was sadly standing there with her eyes closed. But that's not the worst of it. The bright carpet of the lobby was stained red. And at the center of the red... Was Vinny. Somebody had taken his life. 

I can't keep myself from gasping. I honestly suspected Viola or Kim-ly would die, but this... Why? I see Kai rushing down and gasping too, before they look up and try to block the path. I hear Lukey yell "Kai? What happened?" I remember that Lukey and Vinny had a closer than ever bond. This will surely break them to see such a horrible sight. I am too shocked at what happened to turn around, but I hear more commotion.

"Oh please. Just let them see the body and bawl like a little baby, it's not like the speaker won't say it.'' Natalia mutters. I hear pounding footsteps down and finally turn around to see Lukey coming down the stairs, followed by Kai, Natalia, and Rosalina, who seems to have come from her room. Lukey immediately begins to break down into a sob, falling onto their knees. Kai is clearly distressed to see their best friend in such a depressed state. Lukey runs to the body and wraps their arms around Vinny in some sort of hug. 

''Why would they do this..." Peter is in disbelief, and Amethyst looks bewildered at the sight of a dead man. Suddenly we hear the speaker turn on. We know what it's going to say, but we wish for its words to be false.

"Good morning everyone! It seems that you have discovered today's surprise! The murderer made the decision to bring an end to the pitiful life of Vincent. Not that much of a shame, really. What's the point of crying over a survivor who I doubt would have been useful in the first place? And if you couldn't tell, his cause of death was a slash to the gut and a stab in the throat."

''W-what the hell is this? Why would they... kill somebody?" Coralie asks. I'm shocked that the murderer would actually go through with this in the first place too. Maybe they are really a psychotic bitch... Welp, looks like the psychic didn't check the right person this time.

"Oh! I have news from the investigator as to who they believe the murderer could be. The investigator has suspicion that Daniel committed this terrible crime. Now discuss!" We all look over at Dan, and he quickly panics.

"Guys! I swear I wouldn't do this! The investigator is wrong! They only have a .009% chance of being correct in their accusation! I mean, those are the same chances of the psychic checking the murderer, the medic protecting the attacked, or your chances of getting a muffin!"

''Chill, we didn't even accuse you. But now, I think it's you. Why are you acting so jumpy? Such actions I shall never trust." Reza glares at Dan. I mean, I still don't think Dan is suspicious. He's probably just scared. 

Adanna shakes her head. ''Well, Reza, it's only natural that Dan would assume that since the investigator accused him, that we'd all gang up on him because we wanted anybody besides ourselves voted out. People who are only voting to save themselves will vote for somebody who they already know somebody else is voting for. So that's why I think you're wrong."
