"What's up?" Minho shoulder punched Jisung as he sped up to him in the courtyard.
"I have a math pre-test, gotta study." Jisung picked up the pace to the library to study but Minho held him back a bit.
"You're not supposed to study for a pre-test, idiot. You're not avoiding me again, are you?" Jisung held his bag straps tighter. He remembered what Soowon had said a few nights ago.
"No! Of course not. We're friends." He assured him. Minho gave him a suspicious look but shook off the feeling to get back to his original thought.
"Well, since we're friends. My other friend's having people over friday night, you should come." Jisung was ready to use an excuse and decline the offer but by the time he'd thought of one, Minho was gone. So much for avoiding him.
"So a party huh?" Soowon sat on the edge of Jisung's bed as he stared at himself in the mirror. He twisted and turned, checking every angle of his outfit. Ultimately he returned to the closet to alter his choices. He kept thinking about everytime he spoke to Minho, looked at him even. It'd been two weeks, yet Minho occupied a large chunk of his brain 24/7.
"Yeah, what about it?" Soowon shrugged her shoulders, but a knowing look slipped to her features.
"Funny how before you met Minho, there was no chance of you ever going to a social gathering. Especially not a party." Soowon played with the edge of her braid, watching as Jisung checked himself in the mirror again.
"Well, maybe I'm trying to be more involved." Jisung messed around with his hair, pushing strands around as if they weren't going to stray the second he left the house. He pulled his hoodie around his neck to sit better before sliding his shoes on. "I'll talk to you later. Tell Eunsah I had a school thing." Soowon hummed in agreement and Jisung took the muffled sound in comfort and ran down the stairs.
He only waited a minute or so before Minho's car pulled up beside the side walk. He hopped in and they were off to Minho's friends place.
"So, who's the friend?" Jisung felt awkward in the silence, choosing to fill it with the first thing that came to mind.
"Oh, Chan. I don't know if you've met him. He's the one in the council." Jisung nodded. "But, there are other people that you might know. Uhh...his friend Seungmin and this other guy Felix, couple others I can't remember," Minho continued.
"Seungmin? I know that guy. He thinks he's so much better than everyone else." Jisung crossed his arms, slumping into the passenger seat.
"Coming from you Mr. 'I'm too good for friends'." Minho smiled. Jisung kicked him in the leg with a giggle.
They reached Chan's house and Minho happily escorted Jisung inside. Jisung was a little scared, there were alot of people there. Less than he expected for all the crazy high school parties he had seen on TV but still alot of people.
Minho dragged him over to a group of boys that had been standing around the stairs.
"Hey!" Minho yelled to them. The group all shared their hugs and hello's before Minho turned to introduce Jisung.
"This is Jisung. He's kinda new, came about a month ago." The others all gave him smiles, speaking their pleasure to meet him.
"I'm Felix, I love your shoes!" Jisung glanced down at his shoes and back up to the boy with the blonde hair.
"Thanks, I like your piercing." Felix shone a smile at the compliment reaching up to touch the earring.
"Come on! Let's get some drinks." Jisung was taken by the wrist and pulled to the kitchen, Minho only waving bye as Jisung pleaded for help with his eyes.
