~< vowels(and the importance of being me) - hunny >~
Jisung was walking to History Monday morning when the usual pest nudged his shoulder.
"Hey~" Minho sang.
"What do you want?" Jisung rolled his eyes, before shooting Minho a glare. Minho gave him a puzzled look. Suddenly, Jisung shone his teeth, laughing at the reaction he had gotten.
"Geez, you scared me. How'd it go with Eunsah?" He asked, his hands slipping into his pockets.
"Well, she yelled at me for a bit, told me I wasn't allowed to go anywhere anymore and I'm banned from seeing my sister for the rest of the week," Jisung explained, his mouth tightening to a line.
"What? She can't do that, can she?" Minho spun around to block Jisung's way, Jisung widened his eyes at the sudden presence in front of him. He was especially aware as their faces had accidentally gotten quite close. Jisung stepped back with a shake to rid his shock before continuing.
"She can, and she did. It's okay though, I actually haven't been seeing her as much lately. It sounds bad but I think, maybe, it's good for me. Then again maybe Eunsah's just finally getting to me." Jisung's had a sarcastic laugh, matching his bitter tone towards the end. Minho simply nodded along.
"You should come sit with us at lunch, seriously. I think you'd like it." Minho suggested off topic. Jisung flattened his eyes.
"I highly doubt it," He stated. Minho made his eyes big as he bent down a bit with his hands clasped together in front of his chest, clearly mouthing 'please'. "Fine, whatever, just don't expect me to talk to anyone." Jisung agreed as the bell rang.
Jisung walked into the lunch area with his arms folded low on his chest. He discreetly wondered around the place, keeping an eye out for Minho. Next thing he knew, his name was being called and he looked over to find Minho waving for him to come over. Jisung felt a wave of embarrassment as Minho was so obviously yelling at him from so far away. Jisung hid in himself as he paced over to the table.
Once he was there he took a long breath before sitting down beside Minho. Jisung recognised all of them from the stairs at the party, though, he couldn't even try to put names to faces. Well, except for Felix, he was sure to remember him. Jisung's cheeks flushed red as memories flashed in his brain. He raised his hand over his face in order to distract from the rush of colour to his face. Felix was sat right in front of him, the most awkward of spots.
"Oh, hey Jisung! I was wondering when Minho was gonna bring you over here." Felix laughed, waving the chip in his hand around in gesture to his words. Jisung simply nodded with a smile. Making the hard decision to remove his hand from his face so that Felix could see his smile. He was fairly confident he was less red by now as he'd managed to compose himself somewhat in the short time between Felix's words. Jisung wasn't so much engaged in their conversations for the rest of lunch, but he was in and out enough to not seem ignorant. He wasn't sure he could really be apart of the group just yet.
The next few days Jisung sat with Minho and his friends, slowly becoming more comfortable. By Friday that same week, he was laughing with a few of them. During a conversation with Chan he'd caught himself joking with him and realised what he was doing. He'd never imagined himself sitting with anyone, let alone a big group like this, let alone actually enjoying it.
As school finished, Jisung and Minho were walking out the front gate to Minho's car. But before they had reached it, Felix caught them just in time.
"Oh hi, what's up?" Minho asked, taking his hand off the car door handle for a moment.
"Actually, I just wanted to ask Jisung something." His hand went to the back of his neck with an uneven smile as he looked to Jisung. Jisung was fairly unfazed, except for the slight confusion as to where it had come from. Minho was silent, slightly hoping Felix wasn't nervous for the reason he had in his head.
