Jisung managed to climb back through his window in the middle of the night. He expected to be scolded the next morning but it appeared as though no one had noticed him leave in the first place. He was thankful for that.
He was feeling somewhat better. He tried to convince himself it was a temporary feeling as to excuse the good mood he forced himself to be in. He didn't want to cancel on Felix over his emotions.
Soon Felic had pulled up as Jisung thanked Soowon for covering while he snuck out the door.
"Hi," Jisung smiled as he sat down in the passenger seat.
"Hi," Felix replied, leading to a more or less awkward silence. Then, Felix turned to start the engine and drive off.
At the restaurant, the two sat opposite each other at a table. Jisung admired the patterns and light decorating the room, his eyes sparkling with the reflections. Their food came out pretty quickly and Jisung enjoyed every last bit of it. Somehow, the food slightly reminded him of Minho's step-mum's food, causing his face to fall.
"Are you alright?" Felix asked, noticing his change of expression. Jisung fixed his features with a grin.
"Yeah, sorry." He continued eating, "So, do you eat here often?"
"Not much but I do sometimes, depends on what mood I'm in. I don't like doing the same thing too much." Jisung nodded at the answer, contemplating his next question while he moved his food around in its bowl.
"Do you ever plan on looking for your soulmate?" Jisung still watched his spoon drift, as he waited for Felix to reply. Felix shrugged.
"I don't know. I'm just scared. That probably sounds stupid, doesn't it?" He laughed.
"No, not at all," Jisung assured him, looking up to meet his eyes.
"I know they're my soulmate, and they're meant to be perfect for me and everything...but what if they're not? What if I get bored of them? Or what if we don't get along? You know?" Jisung nodded along, sure he understood exactly how Felix felt. "I'm sure one day I'll meet them and forget all these stupid fears but for now, who cares?" Felix widened his features a little after realising what he'd said. "Uh, no offence." He chuckled with an awkward smile.
"No, I get it. I mean you have a soulmate, I'm not gonna try and take you from them." Jisung laughed, though it was forced as all he could think about was what Minho had said yesterday.
Jisung and Felix continued to talk. Once they'd finished up at the restaurant, they took a short walk before deciding to bring it to an end. Felix and Jisung sat in Felix's car out the front of Jisung's house. Once again reminding Jisung of him and Minho's arguement.
"This was fun." Felix gazed over at Jisung, their eyes meeting.
"Yeah, it was," was all Jisung said in return. Felix leant in with little warning but gave Jisung enough time to let it happen. They only kissed shortly before saying their goodbyes. The kiss wasn't bad at all, yet to Jisung, it just felt off, but he didn't let it show.
Jisung snuck back in through his window, taking his shoes off the minute he was inside. Only to then take a seat on the edge of his bed, going over the night. He wasn't sure how he felt. He wasn't lying when he said it was fun, it just wasn't exactly what he expected.
It seemed his mind was somewhere else the whole time, he hoped it wasn't too obvious. His fight with Minho made his stomach low. He knew Minho was being unreasonable and a jerk at that, but he just wanted to find him and ask for them not to fight anymore. He wished that Minho would just apologise and maybe they could forget it ever happened. Come to think of it, Jisung couldn't recall why it had happened in the first place. He never truly figured out why Minho was so upset.
