Wooyoung couldn't believe his eyes when he saw his grandma wandering up the path towards him. While he was shocked, he found himself moving rather quickly.
Turning to San's mom, he snatched his flower back and wasted no time jogging lightly over to the older woman, stunning San's mom briefly who hadn't even been introduced to the guy.
Wooyoung's actions were hasty, maybe a slight bit careless, nothing on his mind besides getting over to the little wrinkled woman searching high and low for his broad figure that she had yet to spot, but when she did, her eyes sparkled with adoration, hinting at how dear he was to her.
Once he made it over to his grandma, his face lit up, producing a broad and charming smile that San never imagined could exist on a face that was always so serious.
His eyes turned upward and became little slits, radiating pure happiness, his cheeks rounding and protruding cutely, heightened by his excessively high cheekbones and faint dimples, helping to round them out further.
San hadn't realized Wooyoung possessed such an adorable feature—a mesmerizingly adorable feature that he'd never witnessed on anyone else. He couldn't look away.
It was the most attractive thing he'd ever seen. That smile.
After a brief hug, Wooyoung hooked arms with his grandma and guided her slowly over to a bench where he helped her sit down, worrying about the frail woman overdoing it, and once they were both seated he presented his flower to her, gently laying it in her hand with another magazine-worthy smile.
"Sannie are you hungry?" San's mom intercepted him, stealing his attention away from the other, wrapping her arm around his waist to lead him towards the car.
The others were already walking ahead in that direction.
San nodded, he too wrapping an arm around his mom that got pushed down along with her's, as his brother shoved himself between them, giving their mom a peck on the cheek before hooking an arm around San and lifting him up sideways, fooling around, sending the three of them into laughter.
"Everything's on me today little bro! Let's get you filled up, then we'll finish off with a few drinks?" Kai brought his hand up, imitating knocking back some soju as he looked expectantly over at San.
"Deal!" San gave him a thumbs up and the older giggled excitedly as he swiped San's hat off and tousled the younger's hair affectionately.
"I'm a proud hyung today." Kai smiled broadly and situated San's hat back on his head as they walked up to their parent's SUV, receiving a delighted smile back from the younger, unaware of how much his acceptance meant to his younger brother.
Their mom rolled her eyes at them with a sweet smile, all three of them hopping inside.
As their car pulled away, San kept glancing out the back window at Wooyoung before he was out of sight, continuing to chat and laugh with Kai and his parents as he did, Jongho doing his best to join in and forget the fact that Kai was his superior.
When San's dad pulled up to a small barbecue restaurant sitting not too far out of camp, they all piled out, immediately surrounded by a mouth-watering aroma.
San held open the door, showing off the new and improved soldier he'd become, and everyone filed in.
Inside, booths lined up against the wall while a few tables sat more towards the middle of the small joint. The place was made up of mostly wooden structures, classically built with a nice homey feel to it. There was a high chance it was owned by a soldier's family since it was so close to the training camp.
