[Author here, found an epic picture to show what the palaces looks like. The palace in the capital of the empire is several times bigger than this. I found the picture by searching up electric blue in Bing. Gosh I love Bing. Bing is better than Google. I am also going to get back to drawing but I have to wait until my iPad get here and I can get procreate on it. Yayy. ಠ‿ಠ]

We walked through the back and my dad sat down on the bench.

  "You both look lovely today."

"Thank you EP picked them out." Cross says.

"Well he chose well, I shall hand him the compliment later."

"Okay." I say pulling the cloak around me.

"So how did you two meet if you don't mind me asking? I heard from EP you two have quite an interesting relationship with each other."

"Really? When we met each other it was very awkward. I tried to kill him." I explain.

"That isn't something you should be proud of." Cross mutters.

"I wish I could say the same." My dad chuckles.

"Do you know where Error's other parent is?"

"I don't know who or where  they are. I wish I knew, but it isn't that easy." He says. "No ones blood matches the one I was covered in when I found I was going to have you guys."

"So you don't know who my other parent is." I say slowly. "How did everyone feel about that?"

"It did lead to a craze of people claiming to be your parents so that they can become royals. I still get some people claiming to be your parent even today."

"Wow. That sounds weird. You are actually looking for someone and they are playing around as if it is a game that they could win. I hope you find them."

"Thank you Cross. I will try my hardest. Do you perhaps think that my children's parent is from another empire and that is why they are so hard to find? Or that their parent is in hiding?"

"I can't say for sure but I can recommend you look everywhere. And then hopefully you will find them."

Dinner came and everyone sat around the table. Servants brought in dishes of foods I have never seen before as well as something that my dad called the 'for kids meal' which was for me and Cross.

Cross was offended and I was confused.

What is this and how do you eat it?

I look up at everyone and tip my head sideways after staring at the food quite a bit.

  "What is this?"

"It is ice salad with snow quail omelets from one of the ice planets under the empire." EP says. "Put it in your mouth and chew it swallow and drink the purple stuff in the cup."

  "Oh."

As dinner went on and we sampled different foods from different places until we were stuffed. Dad had the surplus food put into cases that will be sent over to those who need it.

"So we will discuss your arrangements later seeming you have gotten a partner." My dad says setting his glass down on the table.

"Wut?" I ask stuffing my mouth with food.

"I have to explain to your betrothed that you can't marry them seeing as you have a romantic partner. But it would be nice for you to see your friends again after all these years."

"Friends?" I question swallowing my food. I drink the purple stuff in the glass and rest it on the table until I wanted to drink some more.

"Well this is going to be awkward." My dad mutters.

We finish eating and dad and my brother and his girlfriend stand up and stand by their chairs.

Excuse me. They all say and walk away from the table leaving me and Cross at the table.

"So . . . . First one to finish eating is not it!" He calls out and begins to gobble down his food.

I gasp and turn to quickly finish the last morsels of food on my plate.

"Mh!" I say swallowing and showing off my empty plate.

"Hey!" Cross shouts finishing up his and standing up.

I dash away from him down the corridor then through another hallway his steps never far behind.

I slid myself behind a corner in a room full of glass and tried to catch myself before exhaustion took place.

"Got you!" Cross pounces on me from behind making me squeal.

"Woah." Cross says looking up. "This place is so cool."

Of course I couldn't see what he was talking about and everything looked like colorful blobs. What most of my life looks like. I pull out my glasses and put them on and light flooded my sight.

When my vision adjusted I looked around and it seemed as if we were in a museum of some sort housing several things and portraits lots and lots of portraits. Even the stained glass bright with sky colored light showed several stories in its colored glass. The colors of the glass streaked down and reflected on the floor slightly distorted.

The hall is wide like the throne room but the room was long. The farther down the hall we walked we entered a icy library with clear glass-like crystals with a gold stream running through the glass giving it a heavenly, open and airy feeling. I took off my cloak hood then walk through the bookshelves running my fingers over the spines of each book until I stopped at a book that I wanted to read.

I close my eyes and pull out the book and flip it to see its cover. It is clear and fogged with white and gold embellishments studded with indigo and yellow Sapphire. My supposed name dancing over the cover in a blood red like those apples I saw Ink paint. I flop down in crisscross applesauce and open the book revealing a black page and silver writing documenting my life. The blood red color drawn in with doodles in the margins.

The first entry documented my birth and had a small painting of my dad holding me and two children— one I know and the other I don't —crowding around the bed to look at me. I skim through the pages and I stop at a page and scream.

"What happened!" Cross yelled dashing towards me.

"How. . . ." I sputter letting the book shut closed and fall off of my lap. "How?"

Cross' eyesockets fill with fear and he realizes why I screamed.

  "What the H-"
