Coup d'état

EP'

  I walk close to my sister and watch dad and their boyfriend discuss state of affairs. My sister's crowning ceremony is to be held sometime this week. It is important that we have it as fast as we can possibly have it. We must make sure that the people know of her return first. But we must ensure CE's royal safety first. Meaning she claims the throne beside our dad. Because we can guarantee that hosting the event quickly will ensure enemies of the empire don't break in.

  I don't exactly know where CE's boyfriend comes from or his circumstances but I know that he comes from another empire that despises us and our power. Let's just hope his allegiance is to our imperial power and to CE.

  I pause by a fountain and study the people in the area.

  Perhaps I was just seeing things.

  "Brother?" CE asks. "Are you alright?"

  "Quite fine." I nod trying not to show my nervousness.

  As soon as we return to the palace, I borrow CE's boyfriend.

  "So you may have heard that the crowning ceremony will be going on." I say. "So I need you to protect CE until they get their crown."

  "Why? Error is good at protecting them-self."

  "Because the royal family has many outside enemies. As well as the fact that CE is unaware. I may have taught CE to fight before, but CE doesn't remember that. I don't even know what she can do anymore. So I need you to be helpful and ensure she is safe and healthy until we can put the royal seal on her reclaiming her back on the royal throne and endowing her with protection." I say.

  "Understood?"

  "Yeah. I get it."

  "Good. Stay close to them."

  I trek over to Eau who was hiding in the shadows.

  "So you got him to ensure your sister's safety?"

  "Let's hope that he won't hurt them."

  "Hey!" I hear Cross yell behind me.

  "Oh hey. How was your chat?" I say watching my dad leave.

  "He just wanted me to watch you and ensure you are safe. How about you?"

  "Dad was just asking me about decorations and how we would present my crowning to the citizens. He wanted everything down packed from what I would wear to what the silverware and napkins will be like. This is a very serious event." I say putting a finger up as I explain it.

  Cross chuckles while I walk to the lift to get to our room.

  "Dad had the list of things I need to get ready here." I say going to my desk and picking up the list of things that I have to get ready for the event.

  Cloth for table. Cloth for napkins and seats. Pattern for the royal tiara. Type of silverware and which material to make it from. Including my dress and how I will style my 'hair'. If it even is hair, which I doubt.

  "So the pattern for the table will be spring green with white and dark emerald trim. And we should make the chairs an ultramarine color with emerald embroidery." I say ticking things off on my list. "Dark emerald napkins and light blue flower sets with silver utensils, dark blue main course plates and ultramarine before and after main course dishes."
