This is all platonic!

Last time on Mute:

Patton wrapped Logan in a hug. "I'm so sorry Logan! We have got to heal you! Should we tell the other sides?" It's for the better if they don't know. If they just ignore me like always. :D

Patton withdrew the hug and looked at Logan. Confusion and worry was drawn clearly in his face as he unpacked that statement. Realisation hit him.

"Oh my god Logan I'm so sorry! All these times I've cut you off..."

The empathetic sides face crumpled. Patton looked so distraught, Logan couldn't help but smile sympathetically.

Thank you for your apology :D. I forgive you, but it might be a little hard for me to forget.

Patton got up and shook his head. His brown curls bounced upwards as if they were pulled by the ceiling. Patton looked back at Logan.

"Let's show the others, cmon!"

Patton grabbed Logan's arm and hoisted him up. He stared Logan in the eyes, trying to discern how he felt. Logan's face twisted with fear, and he backed away slightly.

"Logan?"

Why do you want to show them this? This monstrosity?

Logan opened his mouth and showed Patton his tongue. Patton had only seen glimpses of his tongue, not the whole thing. Patton backed away, shaking. He quickly tried to correct his behaviour, but Logan had seen enough.

And that's how badly you reacted. Just think what Roman would say!

Logan withdrew the broken tendrils and crossed his arms. He stared at Patton, waiting for a response. Patton dropped his shoulder and looked down shamefully.

"Still, Thomas deserves to know."

Patton looked at Logan. He crossed his fingers and waited for Logan to finish typing.

Fine.

Patton cheered. He grabbed Logan's arm and pulled him outside. He closed the door behind them and went to the kitchen. Logan recoiled when he saw who was there. All the sides were there, waiting for Patton to come back.

"Logan? Why are you here?"

Asked Thomas, standing up from the couch. The other sides wore the same expression of confusion and doubt on their faces. Virgil murmured something to Roman, something Logan couldn't catch.

Patton released Logan and stepped forward.

"Logan, do you want to show them?"

Logan furiously began to type and showed his phone to Patton while everyone was confused about what happened.

Are you kidding!? They'd rip me to shreds with their words! This is crazy!

Patton patted Logan on the head.

"They won't judge, will you?"

Patton glared at Roman and Virgil, making his intent crystal clear.

"Just get on with it!"

Logan sighed and opened his mouth, sticking his 'tongue' out. The light captured the mess perfectly; the mangled mash of bits mixed with blood. There was a thud as Roman fainted. Logan scanned the room, gauging everyone else's reactions.

Virgil had popped down, shaking by the sight. Janus put his hand over his mouth, looking genuinely shocked for the first time. Remus looked confusedly at the tongue and back at his mace, double checking to ensure he didn't do it. Thomas had both his hands over his mouth, tears leaking from his eyes.

Now look what you've done.

Logan turned to Patton, annoyance in his eyes. He was trembling slightly, and as he looked around he saw Remus and Janus leaving. He glanced back at Patton, but he was gone. Of course he'd just leave me!

Logan desperately searched the room for someone and found Thomas sitting on the couch still. He ran over to Thomas.

"How much did it hurt?"

Asked Thomas, patting the space next to him. Logan sat down next to Thomas and began typing out a response.

It didn't... I just woke up and it was like this. It gave me a great fright.

Thomas nodded sympathetically and patted Logan's back. Logan cried then, silent tears as he found comfort where there was meant to be none. Thomas hugged him close and supported him.

"Everything's going to be alright. Okay? You've got this."

Thomas murmured, patting Logan's back. Whilst they might be the same person, Logan desperately needed the reassurance.

The two sat there on the couch, hugging each other close. Logan knew that he might not be able to speak, but at least there were some people who supported him, who would always be there for him, even if not everyone was like that.

Logan smiled at Thomas, although he couldn't see it.

"Thank you Thomas."

"Thank you for finally noticing me."
