Logan glanced at his wall. It was filled with masks of emotions. There was happy, sad, bored, logical... the list goes on with every facial expression imaginable. All of Logan. All perfect to the finest detail. He walked up to the wall, touching one of the masks. It felt fragile and soft. This was so it would replicate the texture of Logan's actual face, apart from the expression. Logan was proud of each mask; they were a feat of technology. Why? Because they lip-synced anything Logan had said.

He turned back and strode over to his desk. Logan checked the calendar for today. He had a date with Patton at 2pm sharp. Logan opened his phone and checked the time. It was 1:46pm. Logan listened to music as he changed his outfit. He hummed along to 'Mask of my own face' by Lemon Demon as he looked back at the wall. Which mask would work best? Stern probably wouldn't work. Happy maybe? Although there is flustered and blushing...

Patton sat on the picnic blanket. He checked his watch. It was 1:57pm, so hopefully Logan would arrive soon. He sat there in the grass field, his hair blowing in the wind. Patton ran through thoughts in his mind. He had invited Logan here to do something really important. Patton checked the picnic box. There were a couple sandwiches and a cake, a Patton cake. Patton closed it and turned back to the field of flowers. The wind blew against his face. Patton closed his eyes, wrapped in the peace of the flower field.

"Hey Patton." Logan said. He sat down next to Patton.

"Hi Logan!" Patton exclaimed cheerfully. "I packed some sandwiches for us."

Patton opened the picnic box and took out two sandwiches. One was filled with Crofters, the other Nutella. Logan took the Crofter's sandwich gratefully. His face was joyful and he was smiling at Patton. Patton smiled back. The two of them dug into their sandwiches, looking out at the flower field. Patton's free hand gripped Logan's. Patton glanced over at Logan. He was smiling still. The duo finished their sandwiches together. Patton got up, yanking Logan with him.

"Let's go pick flowers!" Excitement was clear in Patton's voice.

Patton detached from Logan's hand and ran towards the flower field. Logan followed slowly. Patton looked through flowers, trying to choose the prettiest one. He squatted down, examining one more closely. It was a red dahlia. Patton plucked it and sniffed its scent. He turned and looked at Logan. Logan grinned as Patton presented the flower to him.

"Why thank you Patton." Logan remarked.

Logan placed the flower in his suit pocket, having the end of it sticking out. Joy shone on his features as he walked with Patton through the flower field. The two of them walked hand in hand until they reached a stream. The crystal water burbled, reflecting the sunlight skywards. The hill was soft with grass, a perfect spot for the two of them to sit. Patton sat down.

"Come on Logan!" He reprimanded, patting the spot next to him. Logan sat in the spot, still smiling. He looked over at Patton.

"What did you want to tell me?" Logan questioned.

Patton looked at his nails, figuring out what to say. Logan sat there, waiting with a smile on his face. Patton looked back at Logan.

"Logan, you're not doing enough in this relationship." Patton admitted.

He glanced over at Logan and was surprised to see him still smiling just as cheerfully as before. Patton raised an eyebrow at Logan, but the smile remained. He waved a hand over Logan's face, trying to work out if he had fallen asleep. Logan looked down, the smile still on his face.

"Do you think this is funny?" Inquired Patton.

Logan looked up at Patton.

He slowly grabbed onto a lose piece of skin.

And peeled away, revealing Logan's true face.

With tears streaming down.

Logan stood up, dropping the mask.

He ran away, teardrops splattering on the grass.

The mindscape would never be the same.
