TW: Mention of guns
A/N: Back to the middle of the night updates, I'm so good at prioritizing time, enjoy :D
Phil, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Sapnap all waited anxiously for the hybrids to come out. An alarm could be heard emitting from the building, only adding to the duress they were already in. Where are they? Should we go in? What if they got caught? Questions and worries flooded Phil's mind as he tried to keep himself together for the children that had already been through so much.
All of a sudden, a wail came from the building, haunted and eerie, beautifully strange.
"What the fuck?" Sapnap murmured, voicing all of their feelings. Didn't Niki say Wilbur was a siren? The melody floated through the air, surrounding them, yet not touching. Phil felt the slight pull that the music caused, the want to be closer, the need for the song to be fulfilled. The symphony that needed to be finished. Unfortunately, or he supposed, fortunately, it was cut short.
All of them let out a collective breath that none of them had known they had been holding.
"What was that?" Ranboo asked.
"I have no fucking idea." Phil half lied.
"Should we help them or what?" Sapnap inquired.
The eagle shrugged, turning back to the building, "I don't think we have a way to."
"I mean, I could teleport? Wait, actually, no, that's probably a bad idea. That would be a terrible plan, actually."
"Yeah, yeah let's not do that." Tubbo agreed.
"Put your hands up." Whipping around, the small group was met with a squad of guards, all with guns pointed at their heads.
-
Ranboo didn't really know what happened at that point, he just acted on instinct. Before he knew it, he was surrounded by white walls, red lights flashing by his head, and sirens giving off an ear piercing beep. Oh, and he was alone. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. He remembered the guns in the guard's hands, Wait, don't shoot.
Suddenly, a door caught his eye, he could hear noises coming from it. Twitching his ear, he approached it cautiously. Hushed voices emitted from the thick wood, all sounding young, about his age. Looking around for a way to bypass the ID scanner, his gaze landed on a guard. It was quite odd, actually, the man was staring off into the distance, not seeming to care that the hybrid appeared down the hall from him.
Walking closer to the oblivious guard, he carefully waved a hand in front of his face, testing. No response, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Deciding to risk it, he reached for the card that was attached to the man's waist. No response. Running back to the door, he quickly scanned the ID, the door opened with a click.
He was met with rows of bunk beds, and boys all packed close to the entrance. All of them were hybrids, at least all that Ranboo could see.
"Uhhh, hi?" the enderman greeted awkwardly, "Um, let's get you guys out of here, yeah?" They all looked at each other skeptically, which was fair. Ranboo was younger than some of them, though he was much taller, though that wasn't relevant. "I know you guys literally have zero reason to trust me, but I'm here to help."
A boy stepped forward, one of the oldest, maybe 14-15, "OK. Anywhere is better than here." Ranboo nodded, hesitantly turning around, it suddenly dawning on him that he didn't really know where to go. Memory wasn't his forte. Well, he knew the girl's room wasn't too far, so that was a start.
"Um, OK, so, does anyone know where the other kids are?"
"I could try to find them?" the same boy from before answered, he looked like a dog hybrid, so that would make sense.
"OK, that works." The large and awkward group trailed after the two boys, anxiously glancing at the guards, who still held their vacant stares.
"Here." holding the ID card up to the scanner, the door opened with a click, revealing all of the remaining kids. They repeated the "speech", and they were on their way.
-
"Come on, Will, you got this, just stay awake." Niki encouraged, half dragging the exhausted hybrid along with her. Techno was dragging Tommy, which was impressive seeing that the chicken was normally faster than them. Guess there wasn't enough room to do small flying leaps.
Dream was leading them through various twists and turns, long since ignoring the guards that weren't, or couldn't do their jobs. A sudden surge of hushed voices had them skidding to a halt.
"That's right by the girl's room." Dream informed them. Peeking around the corner, Techno let out a sigh of relief. A group of children, about twenty of them, stood in the hallway, looking like they were arguing.
"Ranboo?" Tommy yelled incredulously.
"Tommy? Techno?" Ranboo responded, his face lighting up. "I am so glad to see you, we are completely lost." he said with a laugh. "Oh, and also, Phil, Sapnap, and Tubbo might be in trouble."
The family immediately exploded, "WHAT?! Oh Dream we gotta go!" the chicken hybrid rushed. Dream chuckled, and motioned for them to follow him.
I hope you all have a wonderful day/night, 'cause you deserve it!
