Chapter 33

As soon as he lands his eyes on the unknown guest, his pupils dilate. He cannot quite put his finger on it, but the boy in front of him somehow looks familiar.

"May I help you?"

But Hyunjin doesn't get any response. He then decides to snap his fingers right in front of the other's face since he has been staring at him way too long without uttering any words. Oddly enough, Hyunjin cannot help but find it cute rather than creepy.

"Ah.. yes! I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare. I'm sorry." He deeply bows at the older.

"It's okay. It's okay. I forgive you already so it's okay." He reassures, quite panicked as the other keeps bowing.

"Oh right! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Y-yang Jeongin. I'm.." The younger gulps. "I'm here to meet my.. brother." He stretches his right hand, but Hyunjin just looks at it blankly. The high school student cannot help but notice the sudden change of air surrounding them after he mentions who he is.

Still not getting any response, the high school student seems to grasp the situation. "I'm sorry to disturb you. I'm going to take my leave now." He bows deeply once again and walks away.

Hyunjin doesn't say anything, yet his eyes instinctively follow. Part of him wants to chase the boy, asking him to go inside. Yet his past harshly throws such idea, labeling it as the right action he needs to take.

But then, his heart and mind immediately flooded with guilt when he sees subtle body movement signalling the boy is crying.

"Oh fuck fuck fuck!" He curses, running toward the latter without even putting on his slippers.

He loves it when his assumption is right, but definitely not this one. Because right now, he finds himself feeling lost, not knowing what to do when the boy is indeed bawling his eyes out.

"I... I-m-" His body stiffens when a pair of arms hugs him. He can hear the sobbing loud and clear now, making his heart breaks to even smaller pieces. "Don't cry. I'm sorry, okay? Please don't cry." He tries to calm the boy down, caressing the back gently.

Minho, who silently watches his boyfriend to make sure he's safe, fishes out his phone, in need to call someone.

"Han-ah, can you find some information about Hyunjin's family for me?"
