[Two years later]
So much has happened in the past two years. Let's start with Minho's and Hyunjin's father who finally got their names cleared after certain truth was being exposed to the media, resulting Jeongin's father to spend the rest of his life behind the bars.
Both Jeongin and his mother sold the house they have been living in for years and moved to Hyunjin's house. The mother and the sons also have this tradition of cooking or gardening together every Saturday. They sometimes go for a short two days trip on weekends as well. Just them, the three of them, trying to create good and meaningful memories. But last year, Minho started to join too since Hyunjin and him got married.
Deciding to stop committing any more sins, Minho finally took a huge decision to take over his father's company along with Chan. On the other side, Hyunjin found himself taking an interest on art. He has joined countless classes for around five months two years ago until he found the style that suited him then began to focus solely on that.
He still remembers those time where he found it hard to express his feelings; but now, he's able to express them through paintings - thanks to his husband who kept encouraging him to try new things.
He actually never had a high expectation, simply enjoyed the time he spent on his hobby. But last year, one of Minho's business partners asked about the raw yet delicate painting which was hung in the office.
To have someone - a complete stranger at that - notices his work is such a huge achievement already, but this person even complimented it and foresaw what he was trying to express, making him completely speechless. In fact, the man didn't hesitate to offer a huge amount of money so that he could bring the painting home. Of course, the married couple refused to have the money, but still gave the piece of art to the old man as gratitude.
It didn't stop at that though. Around two weeks later, the man offered Hyunjin a chance to submit his art for charity event. The latter was so persistent to refuse, reasoning his skill wasn't good enough. But again, Minho successfully persuaded him, saying he wouldn't know until he tried. He was certain no one was gonna do an offer for his art, but to his surprise, many showed their interest.
Then moving forward to present time, Hyunjin is actually going to open his first public art exhibition that will be held tomorrow morning.
[A/n idk anything at all about art exhibition and charity event so... kindly let it slide if I make a fool of myself here]
"Nervous?"
Hyunjin nods then hides his face on the crook of the older's neck. Hands instinctively latch itself around his husband's waist.
"It's normal. You can't help it." Minho gently hugs back. "You'll do great. Keep saying that to yourself and the universe will grant it.
The younger giggles. "You always have a way to cheer me up, hyungie."
"I do?" He chuckles. "Why don't you give me a reward then, hm?" Receiving a playful eye roll. But, Hyunjin still gives the latter a short peck on the lips anyways.
"I want a proper kiss, baby."
"We're in public, hyungie. Someone might see us."
Minho blankly stares at his husband, eyebrows slightly furrow. "We're literally hugging each other close right now, so what's the difference?" Then teasingly purse his lips, eliciting giggle.
"Ugh fine!"
The married couple then share a kiss, a slow passionate one. No teeth bite or light nibble, just a gentle touch of their tongues on each other's lips as they move their jaws in rhythm. Despite the whine he let out a while ago, Hyunjin cannot contain a smile from forming.
