I could feel the heat rising in my face, 'was I starting to fall for the town's local bully?' i was lost in my thoughts I didn't notice that Henry had come and sat beside me,

"our dads are properly going to hang out a lot more now, for work and stuff what would that mean for us and since I'm hanging out with the losers" I was hoping for a decent answer,

"look I can't stop you hanging out with the losers but you won't get much fun hanging out with them I hope you know that me and the boys could show you around town and take you to all the fun places we like" he licked his lips putting his arm around me,

when his hand touched my arm it was cold. It made my whole body covered in goosebumps.

"I'll hang out with you on condition" I paused making sure he was listening to me,

"I'll only hang out with you if you leave the losers alone" he turned and sighed,

"aww come on Mccoy" he started poking at my sides trying to see if I was ticklish, I'd tried so hard not to give in but I burst out laughing.

I tried to push him off but that made it worse, he made me laugh to the point I was crying, that's when he stopped and he ended up on top of me with my arms pinned so he could keep tickling me,

"you gonna change your mind" trying to compose his laughter,

"Alright... Alright I give in" he threw his hands up in excitement,

"haha yes I knew I liked you" he actually seemed really happy with this but it was short-lived,

"Henry come on we're leaving" his dad had a cheerful tone when he called out.

"well, I guess we'll see each other again soon" as he slowly left my room.

I walked out to say goodbye one last time and I turned to see dad with a grin across his face,

"sooo... what did you and Henry talk about butch and I heard yous both laughing at something." he nudged my arm, once again I felt heat rise in my face,

"it was n..nothing. We were just talking about a school that's all it was," it was hard thinking of something on the spot and not telling him I might have fallen for the town's bully but he surprisingly brought it or acted as he did,

"oh ok, I get it your too cool now to tell things like you always used to" he joked,

"no it's not like that at all we really did talk about school, but I am getting really tired and tomorrow's the last day, and would it be okay if I hang out with some friends I promised some today that I would so I just wanna make it up to them?" I gave him a puppy dog eyed look and he fell for it almost every time,

"Alright fine, just be back home by seven on the dot, got it" his tone turned serious so I had to promise and I understood why and it's a good reason.

He didn't want to have to put my face on a missing poster like the other kids.
