Hair up, shoes tied, glasses cleaned, yep I'm looking sexy. Jack kicks my door open "come-on fart nugget Craig's waiting for us!" He says and runs down the hall, I wish those two would just get together already. It's very obvious that Jack likes him back but he's too fence to realize Craig hasn't lost feelings.

I grab my phone and run out the door, "Bye Mami bye papi!" I tell as I leave. Craig waits for us in his car, I get in the back seat and pull out my phone.

I laugh and roll my eyes.

Craig drives off towards B's house, "so what's the plan?" He asks, I lean on his seat and point at nothing in particular, "Well my good man, first well head to the store to buy some food then we'll grab some chairs as well. Then we'll get set up on the hill and wait for everyone then WABAM!! Fireworks."
I smile at him and give a thumbs up.

Jack hooks up the Bluetooth and puts on some music, when we arrive at B's house she's already waiting at the door. I notice she has a little boy with her, probably her little brother Jason. She opens the door, letting Jason in first. "Heya guys, is it ok if my little bro tags along? Moms having a bitch fit and Jason doesn't need to deal with it." We all nod and continue the drive.

"So how we doing this? Are the others getting a ride from someone else?" Asks B, I nod at her "Yeah John is gonna drive em here. Man I felt like it's been years since we've seen them, I wonder how Mia's doin?" I say, B gives me an uncomfortable smile and jacks peeks at me through the back of his seat.

"Don't tell me ya still got a thing for her, c'mon look at your hot girlfriend." He says while motioning towards B, she laughs "Thanks jack."
I roll my eyes and punch him "I can wonder how a girls been without wanted to make out with her dweebus." I say and lay back in my seat. B nods "speaking of I haven't even texted my friends yet, I've been so busy with you guys and all of moms shenanigans that I haven't had time to talk to them.

"Aw you should have invited em." Says jack, B shakes her head "nah they wouldn't be into this unless it included beers and hot guys." She rolls her eyes, Jason makes a gaging gesture and laughs. "Excuse me, two hot dudes right here." Says jack while pointing at Craig then himself.

"Hahah yes but you know all they want is sex and if I'm correct y'all ain't the sleep n go types." She says while pointing at them both, I nod in agreement. She's right jacks loyal and would never sleep with someone then ghost em, it's just not in his blood.

We arrive at the hill and unpack the car, we set up the chairs and blankets on the floor. Craig and Jack set up the food and some plates, I take a good look at the sky. It's almost sunset, I feel B's arms wrap around my waist "Can't wait to spend 4th of July with some actual friends this year." She says and pecks me in the lips, I just her back and smile. "Ewww, thas gross." Says Jason.

I laugh, B smiles and ruffles his hair "Good job on the lisp kid, it's getting better." He laughs and pushes her hand away, I put my hands behind B's waist and pull her close to me. "Your beautiful." She laughs and shoves my face away, "your so cheesy hahah!" We laugh at each other till we hear a car pull up.

My face lights up and I run to the car, I hug Joey who is still tall as ever "ay your fashion has gotten better good for you." I say in a jokingly way, John walks up to me and lift me up into a hug "AY TECH IV MISSED YA!" he says I hug him tight, "same here big guy!" Jack gets a running start and jumps into Johns arm "YOOO BRO I missed you!!" John let's jack down and fist pumps him.

All of a sudden I see Mia exit the car, she has her natural blonde hair with a brown streak, it grew out a bit too. She waves at me and smiles, I smile back and see another girl exit the car. "Oh hey are you a friend of Mia's?" I ask going for a handshake, she smiles and shakes my hand with both of hers.

"Ah yes I am Rei, Mia's partner as of this summer. Nice to meet you, I have heard great things." She says and let's go of my hand "oh wow girlfriend huh? How did you meet?" B comes over and stands beside me "Um hi I'm Blythe, but you can call me B." Rei nods with a warm smile, Mia pushes into the conversation "It's so good to see you both again, glad to see your still hanging out." I look at Mia's hands and notice she's signing.

"Um MI's why are ya signing?" I ask, her face light up and she points at Rei "Rei is deaf, she's really good at reading lips but I'm a fast talker so I sign around her." B gets excited "Oh wow that's so cool, I've actually took lessons on ASL, can't wait to put it to some good use.

Rei smiles, I hold B's hand and point to the chairs "you guys gonna sit or we all gonna stand here like people who don't have chairs haha." They laugh at me and follow. Mia and Rei sit down while B and I grab the fireworks, "This is gonna be sick!" Say Jack and I in sync, we high five and grab the lighters. I look at the sky, the sun is just about down. "So who's ready for a movie!?" Asks Jack, we all cheer as he sets up the board.

He hooks up the projector and pulls out a couple of movies, "alright what we watching?" He asks while holding up 4 movies, It, Click, Shrek and Daddys home. Shrek gets the most votes, with Daddy's home coming in second.

Time flies by fast and next thing we know it's 11:57, almost time to set off the fireworks. We all grab our favorite firework and get in line to set it off, B stands in the front with her twirlers. I stand behind Jack because he states that just cause I'm dating B doesn't mean I get to cut him to be with her.

The air is filled with the sound of crackling and whirls, booms and loud explosions. B kisses me on the lips "Happy 4th of July H.Q." I smile at her and put our head together "happy 4th of July B." Mia smiles and nudges me "So y'all are dating, I didn't wanna jump to conclusionsm Glad you finally got what you wanted." She punches my arm and runs back to Rei.

I have missed her but no matter how I look at it, those feelings I had for her are completely gone. Guess it was just a dumb crush.

I look up at the sky, this school years gonna be different, I know it.

And there's the beginning of Part 2 yay lol, the next pg will be a time skip of a couple of weeks to where they're in school again. And I can't wait for the drama that's about to come 😉
