         "What's up guys!"
        "Welcome back to our channel!"
"We are here at the Topeka State Hospital."

I heard 3 guys speaking but I heard the foot steps of 4 people. "This place opened its door in 1872 and was shut down in 1997" the 4th man spoke.

The third man spoke again, "I hope no ghosties touch me today!" I heard him jump. I couldn't help but laugh a little, when I peaked around the corner to see 4 men in their early 20s jumping around and joking like little kids.

"Did you guys hear that?" The blond one turned around and looked in my direction. I ducked behind a desk but it was too late.

"Dude! Did you see that!" Said a boy with red and black hair
"Yeah!" Said the other boy who was joking around with him.
"I didn't see anything. What are you guys talking about?" The boy next to the blond asked confused.

"Let's go look." The blond one said grabbing the camera. They all turned their flashlights on; one of them shined it directly into my eyes.

"Ow!" I yelled after I smashed my head on the desk above me.
          "Hello?"
"Hi." I said slightly embarrassed and slowly rising from under the desk. "I'm sorry." I said backing away from the men. "Are you okay?" The shorter brunette asked stepping closer to me with a hand out for me to grab. "Yeah. I'm okay I think." I touched the back of my head and felt warm liquid. "No. I'm not okay actually." The room went black.

         "What just happened!"
"I don't know but we have to help her!"
         I groaned a little. "Wha-"

"She's waking up!" I was laying on the ground with 4 men surrounding me. "You need to go to the hospital." Said the taller brunette. "Yeah. Okay. I just gotta get up." They all backed up a little as I sat up. "Woah." The room was spinning. "I don't think I can..." I said. I felt like crying. "I'll carry you. Don't worry." The taller brunette picked me up bridle style. "Thank you, I'm Nicole" I said holding onto the mans neck.

"I'm Colby." He laughed a little. "The blond one is Sam, Corey is the one who tried to help you first, and Jake is the other one."

"Hi guys. I'm Nicole. I'm really sorry about this."

"It's no big deal. We just want to make sure you are okay." Sam said. "Were you with anyone?" Colby asked looking down at me. "Uh.. well. No, I'm kinda squatting there." I answered ashamed. "Oh. I'm sorry." He answered. "Don't be. It's neither of our faults." I said a little angry of the memories I had. He looked at me confused by the quick change in my attitude. "sorry. I'm still a little sour about somethings that have happened this past week."

"Stop saying sorry." Corey said laughing a bit. "If you don't mind me asking why are you living here?" Jake asked. "My Mom. She was abusive, and My dad passed away in 9/11 and my stepfather was also abusive. I was kicked out and I didn't know where to go. One of my exes told me about this place and so I came here." I explained nonchalantly.

"Do you need somewhere to stay?" Colby asked and they all looked at him like he was crazy. "I mean I do. But by the look on your friends faces I think that they think it's a bad idea. I don't want to cause any problems. Thank you again." I gave him a grateful look and he gave his friends a begging look. "Fine! But she can bunk in your room." Sam said giving into Colby's stare.

"Really it's fine. I'll go find somewhere new." I said but they all ignored me. "Guys?" No response, "Fine. But one day I will pay you guys back some how." I gave in.

We got to the car it was a red Toyota Corolla. Colby placed me in the back seat then got in around the other side next to me. "Wait! Can we go get my bag?" I asked and Corey held up my duffel bag full of clothes. "I thought that it was yours so I grabbed it." "Oh my goodness thank you!" I leaned across Colby to hug him. "Oh I'm sorry that was a little rude." I quickly let go and got back into my seat. "Do you need to charge your phone?" Sam asked getting to the driver's seat. "If you don't mind." I answered as I grabbed the cord and pulled my new phone out of my bag.

"I'm confused" Jake said. "You are living in an old abandoned insane asylum yet you have the newest IPhone?" He continued. "My mom and her husband like to bribe me with buying me things. Before I ran away she actually hurt me physically for the first time." I picked my hair up off of my neck and showed the hands on my neck. "They wanted me to keep my mouth shut so they bought me the phone." They all got silent.

"I- guys? Listen... I know we just met. And to be quite honest, I don't know why you guys are helping me. But I appreciate you all. I know, like... what's happened to me probably scares you the more you learn about it. Thank you for not running away." I was crying a little because of how grateful I was.

"Awe! Can we keep her?" Jake asked and I chuckled a bit. "Yeah? Can we?" Corey joined in. "I'm down." Colby added. Then I realized they were serious. "Okay. But she has to get a job when we get back." Sam said smiling a bit. "Wait. Hold on. Don't I get a say?" They all looked confused at me. "Also if I do say yes... where are we going? How much does it cost?" I asked.
