"Uh. Sure." She said hesitantly. "Okay. Thank you." I said my voice breaking a little, I hadn't started crying though.

"The note reads: I lost my husband because I was a terrible wife. I got mad and let him leave. I lost myself because I was angry at myself for becoming what I am. I lost my daughter because I was a terrible mom. I married a terrible human and let him hurt her. I hurt her and I'm sorry. He can never do it again. And neither can I. I'm sorry." She said choking a little on her words. The last Sorry did it. I felt tears role down my face.

"Thank you. What do I do next?" I asked my voice shaking and cracking. "Well, you can hold a funeral and burry them or you can cremate them and do what you may with the ashes." She answered. "Oh. Okay. Thank you." I said sniffing. "I am so sorry." She said before hanging up.

"Well. I don't have to go to court anymore." I said chuckling a little to the guys staring at my feet. "What why?" Jake asked sitting next to me. "They are dead." I said shortly, wiping the tears that stopped spilling out of my eyes.

"Oh my god." Sam said sitting on the other side of me. "How?" Corey asked rubbing my back. "Murder, suicide." I answered. "My mom shot him then herself." I paused for a moment. "She was sorry." I started crying again.

"We can film later." Colby said crouching in front of me. "No, no. I'll be okay. Let me just catch up to the rest of the world." It had felt I was stuck in time. I took a few deep breaths. "They are free, healthy, and happy now." I said calming myself. I stood up and shook my hands out. "I'm okay." I said quietly. The guys were comforting me.

After 30 minutes, I stopped crying and was calm. I was still in a state of shock but I was going to be okay. "I'm gonna call Kev. Ask him what he wants to do." I said walking away from them.

Kev cheered me up by making jokes after crying when I told him. He's coming down to help me out. I got back to the car and the guys gave me a hug. "We can film later." Colby said. "I'm fine. Kev's coming soon and going to help me out. But I need to not think about this right now, so let's go." I answered.

It was a while before they started acting normal around me. "Okay we are here." Colby said pulling into a park and ride. We followed the road we were just on for about 10 minutes. We waited until there were no cars and ran into the woods.

We walked in the woods for about 40 minutes. "I don't remember this being long." Jake said whining. "We are about to get to the building. See the log? Well 100 feet after that and the building will appear." I said laughing at him. We passed the log and soon enough the building was in sight.

"When we get to the front we will do our intro." Sam said opening the camera Colby was playing with earlier. We got to the front steps and Sam set the camera up on the foldable tripod he brought and pressed record. "What's up guys! It's Sam and Colby" Colby yelled.

"As you all can see we are joined by a new face." Sam says excitedly. "She's our new roommate!" Jake said hugging me. "Heyo. I'm Nicole and I'm a local." I smiled at the camera. "Nicole is going to be coming back to LA when we go back." Corey said happy.

"We will do a Q&A when we get home and settled." Colby said smiling at me as I nodded. "But first we are gonna go into this abandoned Asylum." Sam said getting us back on track. "Nicole you wanna spill some facts on this place?" Corey asked.

"Sure. So this is called the Topeka State Hospital. It opened in 1872 and closed 1997. They created this place after finding that the Osawatomie State Hospital was not big enough to hold the influx of mentally ill patients." I explained speaking to the guys as Sam pointed the camera at me.

"Do you want the gruesome things that happened here now or when we are inside?" I asked. "It would make it easier for editing to hear it now." Sam said but Corey looked uncomfortable.

"Corey you good?" I asked as I watched him shiver looking up at the building. "Yeah. Go ahead." He said looking at me. I nodded and continued, "So the patient treatment was horrendous. Most people who were placed in here were not mentally or insane. The patients were chained to walls, beds, and seats for long periods of time. They were abused, neglected, and sexually assaulted. A journalist visited the asylum and reported seeing a man who was restrained for so long his skin grew around the restraints." I shiver went down my spine from imagining what it could look like.

"The hospital also performed forced sterilization surgeries while it was legal. Basically the reproductive organs were cut out of people who were deemed habitual criminals, idiots, epileptics, imbeciles, and insane. There were law suits for sexual harassment from workers because of the patients. The jury found that there was a hostile environment at THS but it was split between holding the hospital accountable or not. Now the most popular thing to happen here is the murder of a therapist named Stephanie Uhlrig. She was killed by Kenneth D. Waddell who was a high risk patient. While Uhlrig was bringing a group back from watching a movie Waddell attacked her. Her body was found in one of bathrooms on the grounds." I explained as we walked into the building.
